This was the first time I did a tour in my own city and the experience couldn’t have been better. Marta did an incredible job mixing history, culture and delicious food. It’s a wonderful introduction to Lisbon and Portuguese gastronomy but also an opportunity for local residents to get a glimpse of the history that made what we eat possible. I learned a lot and Marta was always available for our questions. It was great to share her passion for Lisbon and for the simple things that are so special and unique. Obrigada!

This food tour was AMAZING. I’ve been on many food tours all around and this was definitely at the top! Marta, our guide was so wonderful. Extremely personable, knowledgeable, and fun to tour around with. She told us a lot of great history that went along with each item that we were eating, which made the experience all the more fun. We spent almost 3 hours together and the time passed by so quickly! Along the way, we learned a lot of history and also got several great recommendations in terms of places to visit, things to eat and tips on navigating the city. The food we had was so delicious! Everything was so tasty and something we will definitely have again. Our recommendation is to go on this tour with an empty stomach because you will definitely fill up! Thank you Marta for such a great food tour! We loved every minute of it!

The selection of places was spot-on. Many of them are off the beaten path and where locals go to daily. Claudia, our guide, is amazing. She gave a through explanation of the foods we ate, about its culture and how it came about to be a staple in the Portuguese cuisine. With the diversity In food culture, it’s no small feat. She’s really knowledgeable. We also got tips on how locals got around, and they were helpful for our trips around the area later on. Highly recommend if you want a great time and need a friendly face to get you started in an amazing city.
