Know More about this tour

Meet your guide at the starting point in the afternoon to begin your walking tour of Little Havana. As you follow your guide through this bustling neighborhood -- noted as the center of social, cultural and political activity in Miami -- youll notice the distinct Cuban atmosphere, as many Cuban immigrants live here.

Your guide will take you to six local family-owned restaurants and cafes in the must-visit Calle Ocho area and give you an overview of the neighborhoods traditional, rustic Cuban cuisine. Sample Cuban favorites such as homemade mamey and flan ice cream, chicken- and picadillo-stuffed plantain cups, guava pastelito (pastry), coffee, guarapo juice and mariquitas (plantain chips) or malanga frita -- similar to the taro root but sweeter, malanga is fried like a potato chip. Many of these dishes are prepared from family recipes that have been passed down through many generations. All tastings are included and sum up to a large, full lunch.

Not only will you try this neighborhoods cuisine, but youll also get a taste of some local culture. Meet artists in their studios, listen to traditional Cuban music, watch cigar rollers, take a peek at Domino Park, and learn about the communitys spiritual beliefs and practices.

  • Very enjoyable tour with Lana. You get enough samples that it's a full lunch. Empanada, half a Cuban sandwich, pastry, scoop of ice cream, mojito and more. Delicious food and interesting history. Not a ton of walking -- only a few blocks.

  • It was great, but I would have prefered more savoury tastes not being a big sweet touth

  • This is a great tour. Jennifer did a great job of linking the food in Little Havana to the history and culture of Cuba. The variety and quantity of food was excellent, along with the entertainment. The amount of walking was minimal.

  • I was a bit disappointed in this tour. The neighborhood is fascinating and our tour leader was knowledgeable and interesting. However, we spent way too much time hanging around each stop before moving on to the next. It felt as if the guide was trying to stretch out the tour.

  • Loved learning about Little Havana, delicious food and quite the adventure. Mirka is so much fun and made this one of our top walking tours. I have a new appreciation for Cuban food and Miami culture and next time I visit, I'll know where to go. Thank you Mirka! Loved it!

  • We took this tour on January 9/18 and throughly enjoyed it. Our guide Lana was very knowledgeable about the Cuban culture and their food. The food was delicious and the establishments we visited were very friendly and supportive of the tour. We really enjoyed the music and the mojito at the Ball and Chain! We would highly recommend this tour for the food, culture and especially our guide Lana!

  • It was a delightful tour filled with good food, drinks, and history. This is my first food tour that I booked through Viator though I have done many others through them and it was just what I expected. We make about 6 stops and had a snack or drink at each one. The guide was wonderful. My only disappointment was that the art gallery where the tour originated was closed for the day.

  • This tour was delightful and delicious! Lana was our guide and her multicultural/multinational perspective was unique and fascinating as she shared her world experience with us. Her passion for the cuban culture, people and food was contagious in a very good way! By participating in this tour, your senses are fully involved in the little havana experience. You hear of the history, you taste the cuban food, you see the rich culture, and you feel as though you are a true part - for a moment - of this neighborhood that is bursting with fun energy.

  • My boyfriend and I went to Miami for a wkend trip from Atlanta back in October. We spent the weekend exploring South Beach, and the Wynwood Art District most of Friday and Saturday. Sunday was our last day and I decided to surprise my boyfriend who is a foodie by going on The Little Havana Food and Walking Tour. It ended up being the highlight of our trip! The tour guide was funny, full of personality, and made everyone feel welcomed and a part of the group. I failed to mention that I have dietary restrictions before booking, but the tour guide made sure I received the vegetarian food options upon arrival on every stop. I really appreciated how she was able to make that adjustment at the last min. I have recommended this tour to other friends and family vacationing in Miami and they also enjoyed their tour. Can't wait to come back. Next time I will not go on the tour Saturday because the Art Galleries in Little Havana were closed on Sun.
