We spent only one day in Ljubljana and we wanted to see and learn as much as possible about this beautiful city! This tour gave us the perfect description of the city, the history and the history of Slovenia. Andre is a great guide with a funny personality!

Excellent tour run by the Tourist Office showing all aspects of the old town and includes a food and wine tasting visit and a return ticket for the funicular to the castle to be used in your own time. The castle is not visited as part of the tour. Highly informative and definitely recommended,

This is the best way to learn about ljubljana! Literally not to bad with walking, mostly 2 hours max walking time. Started off at the square in front of the town hall, which was easy to walk to from my hotel. We started the tour learning about the general area, and the history of how ljubljana was founded. Learned about the various rivers in the area, and the settlements over time. At one point in the tour, you get to try sausage and some slovenian bread, which tasted very good, beware for gluten allergies, we had a few members not eat the bread, but were ok with sausage. After a fine dining experience, we made our way to a funicular, which literally a big big ski lift, modified to bring people up and down to the castle. Walking/Hiking the castle takes a bit close to an hour, the funicular cuts the time to 5 minutes max of standing to get to the top. Once at the top you will see the castle and enjoy the views. Shortly after you will have the oppurtunity to take pictures and make your way back down to the town hall and end your tour! Short, but informative, which helps you make your way throughout the city, especially if you like being out and about! You should do this tour to enjoy the street life and appreciation of the ljubljana culture! After the tour i went back to some of the stands we saw, and got some good BBQ as well as souvenirs for a cheap price. I noticed the stands were cheaper then going into stores, but the quality of the items in stores out weighed the price, so you choose what you prefer when shopping!

The guide knew so much and explained facts and curiosities about the city.
Evry worth it if you have little time to explore and interested in architecture. I really liked it and would highly recommend if you are visiting the city for the first time and want some history and culture.
You will walk a bit so bring comfy shoes and an umbrella is rain is likely since the tour guide has no extras to share with you
