We took a 3-day pass. Overall, it might be a good way to save some money on attractions. On the other hand, for it to pay out you need to take at least 2-3 tours a day. The pass for a family of 4 cost us $486 USD, and we consumed a value of roughly $600, but mainly because we pushed for it. Also, note that while many attractions are "all you've got to do is show your pass", some of the attractions require a pre-registration, which were sold-out at the time of buying a Pass (~2 weeks in advance in our case). E.g. Changing of the Guard Walking Tour was not available at the days of our Pass validity, so we had to pay extra to get the same tour from a different vendor not covered by the London Pass. So, I suggest you to lay out the plan before you pay for the Pass, and ensure that all the tours that you are interested in are still available.

If I had the opportunity to buy this pass again, I would not and I will not recommend it to others. Did it work? For the most part, yes. We used it at Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, Tower of London, and Tower Bridge without a problem. However, we weren't allowed entry to the Royal Mews around 1pm. Also, we over planned our days in order to get our money's worth. A comfortable day consisted of 2 main activities. To get your money's worth from this pass, you must do more than this a day which can feel hectic. The hop-on hop-off bus was confusing and hard to utilize. The Uber boat was ALWAYS full so when we went to use it for transportation, it had a 45min wait. Conversely, it was nice to not have to book timed tours at every location. So that was a small benefit.

I had purchased a GO CITY 2-Day London Pass which allowed you to take the Big Bus or Golden Tours bus, my pass was good for June 8-9/23, which on the Big Bus they had 3 colored route lines that cover many of the attractions throughout the city. I stood at a stop underneath this bridge and it showed Golden Tours bus stop but after 30 minutes no bus, I noticed that buses were driving around the roundabout which I walked towards and I went to where the buses were (I googled the street to be Tower Hill) and low and behold a Big Bus was there which I took. I don’t know why the one stop I was at wasting 30 minutes and no buses came by. When I had my travel agent send me the details on the HOHO I at first found the information confusing about how this pass worked then eventually I figured out enough to understand enough on how it worked. I don’t remember the exact price of the pass because I also purchased a Dublin 3-day pass and both together cost $343 CAD, with the price of the pass I received 265 pounds credit but I don’t think the cost is worth it for one main reason, this is my first time actually touring around London and so since I really didn’t know London I feel it was nearly impossible to see more than 1-2 attractions a day at best and so for a 2-day pass you lose most of the credits. I had the attractions marked on a route map but to actually get to some of these places it’s very hard to find where they are located, I wanted to see the cavalry museum and I even asked the bus tour guide lady named Emma on the golden bus grey line I was taking and she tried to give me directions (she tried) at the north side of St. James Park but I still could not find the place and after quite a while I asked someone at a concession stand which I never received proper directions again when I ended up walking towards Buckingham Palace then down a main road which I eventually came across the Wellington Arch and Apsley House and visited them since I came across them and they were included in the pass. I plan on going next time (2024) and I will be taking the 4 or 5 day HOHO pass cause like I said it was not worth the 2 day pass when it’s nearly impossible to use the full amount of value and to see and even find many sights in a short 2 days. I think that this London Pass could be worth it but only with a 4-5 day pass to give you more opportunity and time to see the sights. This time around unfortunately I spent more time on the bus then actually getting out to any sights and the only place I tried finding I could not even find and even had a guide try to help to no avail. In total I only used maybe 22 pounds between the 2 places, Apsley House and Wellington Arch. For having 85 attractions that the pass allows you access too, it is nearly impossible to really access them to make a 2-day pass worth it. Overall, I would still recommend taking this bus HOHO tour only if it is for no less than 3-4 days and give yourself time to find and see the sights. 3.5 of 5 for route choice and areas covered 2 of 5 for length of time it takes for one route to go through its entire route 2 of 5 for the overpriced 2-day pass 2.5 of 5 overall for everything with the pass

We got the London Pass. I see lots of posts saying you need to plan to get your money’s worth. We did and I think it saved us quite a bit and was great to be able to us Hop on and Hop Off Bus and Uber Boat to get around city a couple of days. Highly recommend but plan your route beforehand to make the most of it. Also, many gift shops at destinations gave discount if you showed your pass.

Overall i thought the London pass was great. It definitely saved us money and there were so many options for people to try. My only complaint is some of the descriptions weren't entirely accurate. For example, the Palaces and Parliament Tour, it states "discover four incredible royal places" which made our group believe we would be able to enter those palaces. But in reality, you just view the palaces from the outside of the gates. Also, I tried to make itineraries on the app but wasn't able to find them again. Overall, this is a great program and saved us lots of money and I recommend it to others and I would use it again

Huge waste of money. If you do a really excellent job of getting around the city you can just about pay for itself, assuming its not busy, that the attractions you want dont close at the last minute or that the descriptions on London Pass' website arent misleading. I think this would be worth considering off-season for 3 days or longer only.

I don't think I got my $ worth but only because we could have planned better. This was a 3 consecutive day that starts on the day you first use it. Realize that many attractions open late and/or close kinda early while other are late to be sure to plan on the timing. Also crowds, travel between sites/events, breaks, lunch and immersion at a site will impact the schedule and plans...

This was without doubt one of the biggest wastes of time and money ever. We had one day in London and really thought this would be the best way to see the highlights. Two in our group of six couldn’t get the vouchers to download. After attempting to get some help we took the tube and headed for the Tower of London. Still no help so two had to miss out on the Tower because their vouchers wouldn’t work. After the Tower and getting all vouchers working we took one of the Hop On/Off busses, the Big Bus. What a disaster. The employees were surly and rude, there was no guide, no recording, nothing pointing sites out along the way. The stop for Westminster Abbey was about two blocks from the actual building. We were unable to enter because we had arrived too late. Since you have to use the same bus company the entire day we walked back to the pick up point hoping to ride the bus around and maybe have a better crew on the next one. We stood at the pick up point where multiple bus companies do pick ups and drop offs. Multiple busses from other companies stopped in the 30-40 minutes we were there waiting. One from the Big Bus stopped in that time, just one. There was a crush of people trying to get on, and no one attempting to organize anything. We couldn’t get on that bus and when we asked when the next would arrive we were told “it’s a very busy day, there’s no way of knowing”. So, we walked away. We took the Thames boat ride included in the pass. It’s a water Taxi. If you know what you’re looking at or where the next place you want to go is compared to their route, great. If not you can wait in line to ride in a big circle on the Thames. We ultimately ended up walking to see Buckingham Palace and Harrods before getting an Uber back to our hotel. This was a complete waste of time and money. Never ever would I recommend this to anyone.

BUYER BEWARE! London Pass fixes their app to ensure you can’t get a refund for any unused passes. I purchased 4 passes and at the last minute, one person cancelled so I was careful to only use the first three passes each time we visited an attraction. However, I didn’t know the app rearranges the passes every-time you open it! So, when I went to get a refund for the unused pass, I was informed it was used! I asked them to show me the use and it’s clear only three people used the passes but they refuse to acknowledge the sneakiness of the app and refund my money for the one pass! If you purchase multiple passes, I suggest ordering them individually, in case you need to cancel. The pass savings are good if you plan carefully. It’s a shame their business practices are rather shady when it comes to being honourable about the refund process.
