In the morning, our driver will sign your name and meet your Guilin or Yangshuo hotel at 8am and takes you to Longji Rice terraces, from Guilin central hotel to Longji terraces need 2hrs driving, but if pick up at Yanshuo hotel area then need 3hrs driving.The Longji Rice Terraces offer some of the most fantastic scenery in China or indeed the world. Beautiful when the sun reflects in the water of the paddy fields and glowing with yellow ears when the harvest is ripe, Longji (Dragon's Back) is a feast for the eyes.There are about 66 square kilometers (25 sq mi) of terraced fields. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides, and look like great amphitheatres or ribbons as they wind round the contours in tiered bands.
After the Longji Rice Terraces, then we head to the Changyang Dong village and need one hour driving via the highway.Frist, we will visit the Chengyang Bridge, also called a Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge (also called Yongji Bridge or Panlong Bridge), is probably one of the most famous wind and rain bridges in China.It is located in Sanjiang County of Guangxi Municipality on the Linxi River between villages of Dong ethnic minority and is built in 1912.It is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 10.6 meters high.
After pass the bridge, you will entre the Chengyang Dong Villages include 8 traditional natural villages, they are Ma'an, Ping Zhai, Yan Zhai, Pingtan, Dong Zhai, Da Zhai, Pingpu and Jichang. In this 12.55 square kilometers area, the eight villages have about 2200 Dong families and over 10000 people and you will find yourself in a natural Dong Minority Museum, eight natural villages, each village has a wind and rain bridge, a drum tower and a stage, different villages have different styles on design of these public Dong architectures, if you have time, you could rent a local villager to tell you the differences of each village, very interesting.
We will reach the Zhaoxing village parking lot around 18:30--19:00pm, we will contact your hotel at Zhaoxing before we came and ask the hotel staff meet you at the village gate and show you to the hotel.
