tried to do both tours in a day we were told wrong start time for tours expected time at our first stop 30 mins later than expected.Waiting to long between buses and lot of time at transfer points .just missed 5pm bus from Hollywood so had to wait 70 mins for 6.30 bus to downtown only to couples so he took us to near our hotels . Summing up take the 2 day option especially if you due the downtown tour as well less of a rush.

We were told that the bus stopped at our stop at 8am and 830 am. We were there at 7:40am so we wouldn't miss the first bus. It was pouring rain and cold. At 8:05am I called Viator and they said the bus would be there in 1 to 2 minutes and no later than 5. The bus came at almost 8:30. Cold and wet we got on the bus. You couldn't sit upstairs or you would be even wetter. The bus had as many leaks as a colander and no heat. Needless to say we were very upset. The driver was very nice and apologetic. If it weren't for him we would have given Viator a not so nice call. The driver did everything he could to make it pleasant. You couldn't see anything except through the windshield, so no pictures to show for it. We were miserable and asked how to get back to our hotel. He was very knowledgeable and we got onto another Viator bus to get us closer to our hotel and had to catch a city bus back to our hotel but were told hop on and hop off for 24 hrs thinking at least we could be back within an hr to the hotel but no we couldn't make it back on a Viator bus until about 6:30pm. I would have thought that it would have been cancelled and refunds given in this weather but don't let them fool you it's all about the money. Never again will I deal with this company and definitely wouldn't recommend it!! I even called the day before and asked if it would be cancelled if it rained and was told no that you can sit on the bottom it's covered but no mentioned of the roof leaking. The only full day in LA and we picked this crap! I

Where the bus was stopping was not clear (only few of the stops were sign-posted). Wouldn't have been a major issue if buses were really every 15-20mins; in fact, they were every 40-60 mins, so missing a bus was a big deal. And on 2 of the 3 routes, the audio commentary cut out for 2 sections.
Turned out to be a very expensive, and not very effective 2-day bus ticket

We enjoyed touring LA on the bus, got off a few times and were lucky to be able to catch a bus without too much wait. One time we were rushing to get to the next stop and the bus stopped enroute to pick us up, with much thanks since my husband walks with a cane.

kind of boring, anything else besides which celebrity lived there or which comedy club they started in or who died here or there??

  • 13-Sep-2019

Some very helpful friendly staff. Managed to get in two routes into 48 hour ticket. Downtown LA route times bit confusing with need for shuttle bus to initially get there suggest doing it first thing in morning eg 1015hrs if you want to see all sites. If you leave on last bus you can only do the loop if you get off you'll need to find own way back to Hollywood Beverly Hills etc

It was a great way to get around the city. And listen when they told you what Everything was along the way. And you could jump of and walk around and then jump on again on Another Place.

  • 03-Jul-2019

recorded messages and drivers don't stop at every stop....they called our stop as next but drove through it without stopping....we have to get subway back to our apartment....tour stops were difficult to find as not posted very well

The concept is a good one, get on and off in different parts of Los Angeles. The implementation was terrible: company indicates service every 30 minutes, but that never happened! More like a 45 minute to an hour in each of the three stops I made.
Good luck if you try this!!

It was a very comfortable way to see Hollywood. I think that interaction with a person, would have made it more enjoyable.
