The tour begins in a neighborhood which is home to a renowned and remarkable tamale kitchen, a bustling three-Story Latin  mercado (market) brimming with curio shops, food stands and mariachi showrooms, L.A.'s original tortilla factory and an extremely popular pasteleria known for their famed tres leches cake.Then board the Metro Gold Line light rail for a short tide to Mariachi plaza, where you will feast upon birria (a spicy Mexican meat stew), healthy pupusas (a Salvadorian specialty) and Mexican pastries.
