OverviewThis tour goes into the East Side of the city. An area with rich history and reminders of it's past, scattered throughout the neighborhood. This was a Jewish neighborhood for a few decades during the early 1900's. The town is now known for it's Mexican heritage and it's mariachi population. Beside having delicious food on this tour, you will also learn about early Los Angeles, and how this town became what it is today. We will visit a few businesses so we can have a variety of tacos. We want you to try the different meats and non-meats available. Learn about the different regions and styles. We will also try some refreshing drinks known as "Aguas Frescas", and we will finish off the tour with a sweet dessert, churros or flan.
- Perfect for all ages and skill level

My wife booked this tour knowing I don't like to idle and I love to eat. But we were both skeptical about how much fun (or even safe) it would be to bike around LA. And how were we gong to hear the guide while riding? None of these were an issue.
Art was our guide and owner/operator of this tour company. He is very passionate, knowledgeable and entertaining...and reason alone to take this tour. But there's much more. The food was de-OMG-licious! Do not think all taco are created equal. Boyle Heights is not a scenic tour in the conventional sense but it is immersed in history that Art makes come to life. And the sense of community is far deeper and beyond contemporary perceptions, so many mom and pop stores that have been there many decades with their own stories.
Come ready to be enlightened and entertained. And come hungry!
