Had a very nice day. Mohamed had good stories about the sites we visited. We have some improvement opportunities: - at the first stop in the desert, Mohamed chose to let us go by ourselves and sleep in the car. - at some crowded places, Mohamed raced of and we had some trouble keeping up - Mohamed spends a little too much time on his phone - we were brought to 2 locations which were not in the program, a papyrus museum and an alabaster shop. Goal of these visits were clearly to sell us stuff. Especially in the alabaster site we felt very obliged to buy something, which we did. Afterwards I regretted giving in to the sales pressure which put me in a bad mood for a while. For the rest we really enjoyed the day. Mohamed has good sense of humor, lunch was excellent and we can definitely recommend this. Just please don't take people to shops they did not ask for.

Het was een lange rit maar het was het zeker waard. We hebben ontzettend veel gezien in Luxor en dankzij de gids (Khalil) veel over de Egyptische oudheid geleerd. Onderweg ook nog iets meegekregen van het land, waardoor we een dagje uit onze 'bubbel' in El Gouna zijn gekomen. De chauffeurs (2) waren ook plezierig en reden veilig en goed.

We hebben een tweede keer Luxor bezocht met Khalil als gids. Deze keer hadden we onze familie bij. Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld en Khalil verteld overal het nodige. Ook is hij van alles op de hoogte. Ook het eten en de verzorging onderweg was top. We zullen in de toekomst zeker nog met hun excursies boeken.

Thuis hadden we de excursie naar Luxor al geregeld. Heel eenvoudig en snel. Op 23 oktober 2018 om stipt 5.00 uur begon onze trip naar Luxor. Mohamed was onze gids voor de dag. In de bus begon hij al te vertellen over de geschiedenis en voor dat we het wisten waren we gearriveerd in Luxor. We hebben een geweldige dag gehad, veel gezien en kennis gemaakt met de plaatselijke ambacht. Deze excursie is met recht een aanrader te noemen en laat je vooral niet bang maken door de media dat het in Egypte niet veilig is. Wij zijn vast van plan nog eens terug te gaan en dan weer onze excursie(s) te regelen via ' Excursies Egypte'

Prima geregelde trip naar Luxor. Alles stipt op tijd. Gids Mohamed is een enthousiaste gids die graag de bijzonderheden van de oude Egyptische beschaving laat zien. Het schema aanpassen op de dag zelf is geen probleem. Hij is erg attent op je welzijn, zorgt ook dat je voldoende drinkt en lekker eet onderweg. Mohamed heeft onderweg ook veel verteld over het huidige Egypte. De chauffeur Islam was erg vriendelijk en bracht ons veilig en wel retour naar Hurghada. Het was voor mijn dochter en mij een zeer leerzame, gezellige, prachtige dag. Dank jullie wel Mohamed en Islam!!

Boeken ging makkelijk via de website. Chauffeur was keurig op tijd bij hotel. Rit verliep veilig en soepel. In luxor gids opgehaald, wij hadden Hoda als gids. Ze had veel kennis en kon perfect uitleggen

Het begon al bij het ophalen. Ik stond stipt 05:00 buiten en wie zie ik daar aankomen, mijn privé gids. Eerste pluspunt. Spreek goed Nederlands, en tijdens het rijden naar Luxor over alles en nog wat gesproken. Tussendoor een Egyptische ontbijt genuttigd en nog een stop om een egyptische koffie/thee te drinken. Luxor was geweldig, al die opgravingen en tombes. Het leek net een film. Tip neem water mee, het kan er heel heet zijn. Als lunch een open buffet restaurant opgezocht. En ook dit was tip top in orde. Onderweg nog wat tempels opgezocht Karnak, Luxor temple in het midden van de stad etc. De gids heeft nog wat egyptische lekkernijen gekocht voor onderweg. Boek bij deze gasten want het was geweldig.
