We start driving off-road direction Mhamid village. We are back to the tarmac road. You will visit Zagora on the way then driving via Draa valley and Low Atlas Mountains.Lunch will be in Ait Benhaddou then a visit to the famous Kasbah. Later, We drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains. We stop for the pictures, then arrive at Marrakech around 6 pm. We had an excellent trip from Zagora to Erg Chigaga. Our driver Mohammed did an excellent job and provided an entertaining 4WD trip to the camp. There we boarded our camel for a short trip to the huge sand dunes. Climbing those is an ordeal. After sunset we headed back to the camp for a wonderful diner. After the campfire and some singing it was time to go to sleep. It was very quiet, until a sandstorm started during the night. Sand everywhere. In the morning we started with a huge breakfast and after that we headed back to Zagora. Younes, from Caravan du Grand Erg, discussed the route that we could take from Gorges du Todra to Midelt. It turned out to be a most beatifull route. On the way back we stopped at Tamegroute to visit the Library and the pottery.

Desde el principio Mustafá nos recibió con puntualidad y cordialidad en el punto de encuentro acordado, tras esperar a otra pareja salimos hacia el campamento en un estupendo todoterreno preparado para el viaje. El camino precioso, sorteando dunas, desierto de piedras y pasando por una pradera de rucola donde pastaba una manada de camellos en libertad( el verlos así fue mágico). Tras una hora y media de camino yendo todo lo rápido que se podía con seguridad llegamos al campamento justo a tiempo para ver la puesta de sol entre las dunas del desierto( maravillosa experiencia) al volver de las dunas Mustafá y su equipo nos ofrecieron un estupendo té, con pastas y frutos secos mientas oscurecía y empezamos a ver todas las estrellas del fimamento. Más entrada la noche nos sirvieron una estupenda cena nos consiguieron incluso un sacacorchos y pudimos disfrutar de nuestro vino con el estupendo Tajine que nos sirvieron. Más tarde al calor del fuego todo el equipo nos amenizó con musica popular hasta que nos volvimos a nuestra tienda para dormir. A la mañana siguiente amanecimos dando un paseo en dromedario y viendo salir el sol en el desierto, posteriormente nos sirvieron un generoso desayuno y nos preparamos para salir hacia el oasis sagrado. Pasado el mediodía nos llevaron de nuevo a donde teníamos nuestro coche e incluso nos dieron un recuerdo para no olvidar nunca esta increible experiencia.

Our tour to erg chegaga was amazing! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Younes was a wonderful guide and made the trip very memorable for us. We got to see so much of Morocco including the Atlas Mountains, the grand dunes, a beautiful camel ride into the sunset, and more! I would highly recommend a tour with Younes while in Morocco to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!
