Good arrangements by the tour operator. They inform what time to pick us up one day earlier and send staff to pick us from our hotel to train station. Then another staff waited there and guided us for the tour. After that we took our time to have lunch before heading back to Cusco. We departed at 4:50am and reached our hotel at 8:30pm. A whole day tour!

Hotel pick up and transfer to the train station was great and professional.
Paul our guide on the mountain was just simply amazing.

  • 17-Feb-2020

A very well organised and efficient tour. The guides were all very good. The transport was good and the tour guide on site was fabulous

  • 13-Feb-2020

    great trip; excellent guide
one major flaw - the return train booking from Machu Pichhu was delayed and we had to wait at the station for 2 hours - could have been better organized

  • 31-Jan-2020

The location was just what I expected but I was not thrilled with the tour guide. He was very negative.

  • 27-Jan-2020

The guide for the Machu Picchu was good. But there was no lunch and no time to buy lunch. The communication between the guides up to the train station while going was not adequate. We had to wait there.

  • 22-Jan-2020

Everything about the trip was great accept the driving. It felt like we were on a rollercoaster the entire way. Train was great and guide at Machu Picchu was amazing.

  • 20-Jan-2020

Our guide, who's name unfortunately I cannot remember, was excellent. Not too much and not too little but very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was well organised and we were well looked after throughout the tour. I am not sure if it was deliberate or not but they got the 3 of us travelling on our own together on the train and in the tour which was great. Only 5 in the group so really easy to ask questions and get all the information. Definitely a good way to do it!

Long day, but worth it. Everyone from Viajes Pacifico (VP) was terrific and the arrangements (van, train, bus, tickets) all went off without a hiccup with someone from VP meeting me and providing instructions at each stage of the journey. My guide (Hector) for the Machu Picchu tour was excellent, informative and very passionate about the history.

I’m not sure if other people had a bad experience because of different guides or what, but my trip was absolutely amazing and well organized. From pickup to drop off, I felt safe (I was traveling alone), and looked after. Yes, it’s a long day, and yes, you get left in Aguascalientes for some free time and to get back to the train station on your own, but it’s so incredibly easy to find that I liked having a few hours to eat lunch, shop, and have a coffee before heading back. Machu Picchu itself was incredible and my guide waited with me for at least an hour for the fog to clear so I could get a good photo, making our tour longer than scheduled but she was incredibly kind and seemed to genuinely want me to have a good experience. I feel horrible for not remembering her name, but she was great. Informative and also good to talk to. Like I said, I was alone and I chose the English option so I had a totally private tour. I feel like I got an experience that other people would have paid extra for! Thank you!!!
