Everything about the trip was great accept the driving. It felt like we were on a rollercoaster the entire way. Train was great and guide at Machu Picchu was amazing.

Our guide, who's name unfortunately I cannot remember, was excellent. Not too much and not too little but very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was well organised and we were well looked after throughout the tour. I am not sure if it was deliberate or not but they got the 3 of us travelling on our own together on the train and in the tour which was great. Only 5 in the group so really easy to ask questions and get all the information. Definitely a good way to do it!

Long day, but worth it. Everyone from Viajes Pacifico (VP) was terrific and the arrangements (van, train, bus, tickets) all went off without a hiccup with someone from VP meeting me and providing instructions at each stage of the journey. My guide (Hector) for the Machu Picchu tour was excellent, informative and very passionate about the history.

I’m not sure if other people had a bad experience because of different guides or what, but my trip was absolutely amazing and well organized. From pickup to drop off, I felt safe (I was traveling alone), and looked after. Yes, it’s a long day, and yes, you get left in Aguascalientes for some free time and to get back to the train station on your own, but it’s so incredibly easy to find that I liked having a few hours to eat lunch, shop, and have a coffee before heading back. Machu Picchu itself was incredible and my guide waited with me for at least an hour for the fog to clear so I could get a good photo, making our tour longer than scheduled but she was incredibly kind and seemed to genuinely want me to have a good experience. I feel horrible for not remembering her name, but she was great. Informative and also good to talk to. Like I said, I was alone and I chose the English option so I had a totally private tour. I feel like I got an experience that other people would have paid extra for! Thank you!!!

We chartered the entire Machu Picchu day trip from Cusco via 360 Vista train. We were picked up at our hotel on time by a very pleasant and professional young lady and taken to the train station at Poroy. Note to travelers - there is a food vendor at the train station with plenty of food and beverage options. Also, once on the train, there is a served meal and drinks during the 3.5 hour trip to/from Machu Picchu. Sights along the way are beyond impressive. Once in town, the transfer to the bus is a bit chaotic but only a short walk and we were met by our guide and escorted through the process. Tour on top of the mountain was very informative and enjoyable. Didn't need hiking sticks or special hiking boots. The site is very accessible although there are a lot of steep stairs to navigate. We spent four hours in the ruins and our return trip was pleasant and uneventful. From door to door at our hotel the day was a long fifteen hours, but well worth the investment of time and money.

It's Machu Picchu, you won't be disappointed you went. We booked a tour that was labeled the "330 AM" tour, and we were told we'd be tild a pick up time the day before. It got to be 4 pm the day before and we hadn't heard, so I called the 1800 number. I speak limited spanish and the gal on the other line spoke limited english. I thought we were leaving at 110 am, but had my husband call back since he speaks better spanish. Turns out, we were leaving at 510 am! The email never came to confirm the time, but it would have been a GIANT bummer to be there 4 hours early.
We were picked up right on time, taken to the train station and had a great ride out to the town of Machu Picchu. We met our guide for Machu Picchu, Luiz, and it was off to the races. I had to pick between using the restroom and grab a quick stamp on my passport. The tour fast, I'm not quite sure what the rush was, but it was hurry hurry. The tour was also very fact-based, vs more stories. But again, it was still a wonder of the world. We were left with 45 minutes and a very strick warning to get back to the bus on time to then catch our train. We followed the rules and ended up with an extra 90 minutes in the town. The ride back was less fancy than the train out, but it was still nice.
I would have appreciated better communication up front, and a less rushed pace.

No words can describe the view itself. It is a perfect combination of human architecture and the nature. Just make sure to pay a visit once in your life time. The travel company did a good job in terms of punctuality, and good service provided to each of us. Driver and guide also lovely. Strongly recommend

Viajes Pacifico is a great company! Our trip started off with a 2 hour delay due to a landslide on the train tracks so we were worried we would miss the entire day. Thanks to our our awesome guide we still got plenty of time at MP and all it has to offer. It was awesome! Viajes Pacifico worked with the rail and pushed back our return train and got us an upgrade to the First class train - amazing!! I would recommend the 360 train at the minimum so you can stand in the open air railcar. Overall, an awesome day!

Luvi was very informative. It positive overall experience. He helped me 65 year-old mother up the steps.

  • 29-Oct-2019

Everything was extremely organized. We were picked up wher we were told we would as well on our way back to Cusco the train in front of us derailed and delayed us two hours they were still there waiting for us at the train station. Our tour guide was Very knowledgeable and kind! I highly recommend going through this service!!
