Know More about this tour

Compelling by day, Madrid is somehow even more so by night, when the city seems to glow from lights flickering on its buildings. Handily, your Madrid Night Segway Tour takes place at this ideal time, ensuring you’ll capture the magic of top Madrid sights at night, minus the daytime crowds and soaring midday heat.

In the early evening, meet your friendly guide and start with an orientation session to get familiar with your two-wheeled, electric, self-balancing Segway. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll weave through Madrid’s downtown streets, following your guide into the neighborhood of Los Austrias.

While gliding from site to site, enjoy plenty of stops to learn about the history of the historical area and its intriguing sights. Nicknamed Habsburg’s Madrid in reference to the countless monuments left by the Habsburg dynasty, Los Austrias is fascinating to explore with stunners such as the Royal Palace of Madrid (Palacio Real) just waiting to be seen. Stop for photos next to the famous mesones -- typical Castilian restaurants – that surround Plaza Mayor, and then continue riding around the city.

Pass Calle Cuchilleros, a street thronged with bustling cafés and restaurants, while working your way to Mercado de San Miguel. By day, the street market is full of gourmet food stalls, but at nighttime the lively bars take center stage. Glide through the picturesque square of Plaza de la Villa, admiring its elegant 17th-century architecture, and then stop for photos at Almudena Cathedral – a building as grand as its official name: Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Almudena.

Head back past the Royal Palace of Madrid, going past the city’s illuminated opera house – Teatro Real – while hearing of its status as a national monument. Your tour then finishes at the start point.

  • This was my first time riding a Segway, which was fun. They give you a few minutes to get used to it before starting the tour. Our tour guide provided limited information about the places we stopped and it was not very easy to understand his English. In fairness, I was more focused on making sure I didn't run into anything or anyone than enjoying the different areas we stopped to view.

  • what a great tour,so funny on the segways and they were easy to ride, the tour guide jeremy was great fun aswell.

  • Fun and informative and you get to see parts of Madrid that you wouldn't have time to see on foot. And, the Segway is VERY easy to ride!

  • This tour was fantastic! The training on how to ride was excellent, the machines performed beautifully, and because we were the only ones that night, our guide let us suggest what we wanted to see. He spoke excellent English and provided great commentary and history on the area. I am 64 and my husband 72, and it was so much fun to ride up and down the hills at the end of the day! We went all the way to the Temple of Debod to watch the sunset!

  • The tour guide was very good. Although there were times he kept going on about the history of Madrid. Overall it was a great experience. If you are going on the Segways in January/February take some gloves. It was pretty cold whizzing around on them. Very easy to use. A great way to view the city on the first day. We covered loads of ground as we went back to a few places by foot and the distance is quite far.

  • We did the segway tour in the evening as a group of 8 family members. The guide was very helpful and reassuring during the familiarisation session. During the tour he explained things in a very good manner and had a good level of English. He took us to some very good attractions, including the Royal Palace and Cathederal. I would deffinately book this again as it gave us a good insight to some nice attraction quickly, without getting too tired.

  • Even though I'd visited the places before the info the tour guide gave made it all seem brand new. Seeing as my wife and I had never been on a segway the training was great.

  • Despite selecting the English option we were placed in a mixed group. The tour guide spent twice the amount of time translating between two languages hence less time on the Segway's and fewer sites visited.

  • This was a fantastic tour and a great way to experience a slice of Barcelona.

  • So much fun! Guide was knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our requests. Only downside was that the starting point was a bit hard to find. Better directions please!
