Know More about this tour

Meet your in-the-know guide in the trendy neighborhood of Palermo Hollywood, part of Palermo Viejo, populated with designers and hipsters who trawl art galleries, cafes and boutiques that sprout up in the old Spanish-style homes and converted warehouses lining the cobblestone streets.

Inside a chic art gallery, kick off your 3-hour tour with a glass of malbec wine, and listen to your guide’s introduction to the dark and spicy varietal that started in French Bordeaux vineyards. The grape, however, thrived in Argentina and is today the country’s most well-known wine.

After that delicious taste, you’ll want more. Follow your guide to a secret wine cellar open just for your small group’s tasting session. In this intimate setting, your sommelier tells you everything you need to know — cultivation, process and bottling — about malbec as well as other varietals.

You'll taste about five wines, paired with scrumptious picada, artfully arranged appetizer plates of usually meats, cheeses, olives and breads. The sommelier tailors your tastings and may also offer cabernet sauvignon, syrah and the white varietal torrontés for you to try, depending on what's available the day of the visit.

Continue on to one of Palermo's best local bars, where you can taste a real fernet. Discover what makes this bitter liqueur so widely popular among locals. Here is where your tour ends, where you can explore the best nearby spots in Palermo on your own.

  • The information on this is completely misleading. There was no wine cellar, tapas. This excursion was a low quality wine and venue. I was extremely disappointed and surprised by the poor level the experience provided.

  • Wonderful tour that started out with a visit to an art gallery opening, enjoying a glass of wine and mingling with Argentinians and purchasing small art souvenirs. Then a wine bar with a charming and expert presentation by one of the proprietors on Argentinian wines, especially Malbecs, with ample tasting and tidbits to eat. Ending at a rooftop cafe with Fernet and Coca-Cola! Our local guide for the entire occasion was perfect and professional throughout. A lovely way to get oriented to the vibrant wine scene in Buenos Aires.

  • Interesting wines and artists.

  • Our host Nadia was AMAZING!!! Great way to get to know Palermo and the locals better!

  • Incredibly informative and we had a great a tour guide.

  • It was a fun evening but we really felt we had been substantially over charged for this experience! We had 4 wines at the wine tasting session which was good but the tapas were very meagre indeed - a bit of bread and cheese. We had a white Malbec at the art gallery which was nice. Could not understand why we had to meet at the first art gallery which played no part in proceedings at all and was out of the main Palermo Soho area. There were only 4 of us on the 'tour' and the guide, whilst very pleasant was not that knowledgeable. Overall, we were disappointed. Please note - I rarely do a bad review of anything but we felt strongly we had been 'ripped off'.

  • Lucy was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable regarding the wines we tasted. Wine pourings were plentiful and wine and small bites delicious. We were with one other couple. Tour was exactly as described. Have fun and enjoy the intimate settings.

  • Very enjoyable evening in Palermo with Lucy.

  • We had a very nice evening, I can only recommend the wine tour. We visited several art galleries in Palermo, started the wine tasting with a glass of Blanc de Malbec in one of them, then continued it in a wine bar, where we tried several excellent wines worth mentioning was an amazing Torrontes. Our guide was a very pleasant company and told us a lot of interesting stories about the history of the neighborhood, the wines and the Argentinian life style. We ended the evening in a nice bar where usually locals go after work, and tried one of their favorite drinks, the Fernet Branca with Coke. It was a small group - 6 tourists and 2 Argentinians which joined us at some point during the tour. One of the loveliest evenings we spent in Buenos Aires.

  • Anna, our guide was well informed and shared the history of Argentina on our walk to the first stop at a gallery where we tasted a white Malbec! We were the only 2 people in our tour, which made it more personal. Afterwards, we met up at the winery with some women from Australia and enjoyed 5 wines and picata with them. The wines were luscious! Although.... very expensive, so we did not purchase any.
