Know More about this tour

This exciting and comprehensive day trip on Mallorca starts with a drive in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Head inland through the beautiful villages such as Montuiri, Santa Margarita or Petra as you make your way towards the town of Manacor. Here, visit the Pearl shop and exhibition to see how its famous man-made pearls are crafted.

Next, discover one of Mallorcas best natural wonders, a series of caves called the Cavern of the Dragon. The caves, mentioned in Jules Vernes book Clovis Dartetor, were discovered around the year 1338. In total, they are 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long, but only half of that is accessible enjoy a one-hour tour along the 0.75-mile (1.2-km) route. After that, enjoy a 10-minute live performance of classical music.

At Lake Martel, one of the worlds largest underground lakes thats hidden within the caves, watch a fascinating light show that imitates the sun rising over the lake, and enjoy a short boat ride. Alternatively, you may continue the Cavern of the Dragon tour on foot and join the rest of the group outside the caves.

When you leave the caves, head to Porto Cristo (only if you have booked full day option), a fishing village on the east coast of Mallorca. Porto Cristo is located on a sheltered bay with beautiful sandy beaches, coastal caves and shallow water. Youll have some free time here to take a lunch break (own expense) in the center of town, which offers a wide selection of bars and restaurants, or walk past Porto Cristo's 15th-century watchtower.
At Porto Cristo we stop by the beach, so if you want feel free to bring the swimming stuff with you.

Then head back through Manacor, the birthplace of top tennis player Rafael Nadal, to your original departure point.

This trip consisted on a visit to Sineu market, a visit to the Majorica Pearl Shop and the caves of Drach. The market stop really appealed to us as we like a bargain and there was enough time to get around a good few stalls looking for a bargain, trinket or present. There is a lot of stalls for those of you who like the cut and thrust of the barter. As with most stalls it was leather goods, clothing and a lot of imported tat. However there were also stalls with local crafts (pottery, olive wood products and a few antique stalls). The second part of the trip was to the Majorica Pearl Shop - this promised much but turned out to be not much more than a toilet stop. The top floor has live demos of pearl making and a vast display of the history of pearls (far to much to read about is the 30 minutes we had to stop - the lower floor was a factory shop but once again we were so short of time we really couldn't spend the amount of time to look at everything - on top of that - Jean felt the designs were too traditional (dated). Suffice to say by the time we had queued for the loo and had a quick look around it was time to move on. The Caves of Drach or Dragon Caves were the highlight of the trip and definitely worth the visit without spoiling it for people the sights of large caverns with their huge range of stalactites and mites beautifully lit with well designed paths and rails - guides to help at every turn and the lake concert at the end makes this a must. On balance a good day - around 6 hours from pick up to drop off so not too arduous for those of a less able disposition.

Spectacular site but you can do it by yourself: bus no 412 or 416 from Plaça D'Espanya. Otherwise you'll pay for a Tower of Babylon experience: same thing in 5 different languages all time long. Also be awere: a concert in a cave is not a place for small babies because the light will be completely off for a time, and the children start crying. However, the cave is amazing and you should definitely visit.
    Bonus:
My wife got the shortest shopping sesion in a jewelry - only 20 minutes 😉

Guide was great but would have loved to forgo the factory to spend more time at the caves. Caves were crowded so be prepared for that. The short classical concert was neat.

This was a relaxing excursion lasted for half a day. We had a good driver/guide who kept timing in good order.

The bus picked us up much farther away than all the other tour buses, but once we were on the bus the ride to the caves was great, the tour guide was friendly and the caves were really incredible. You probably won’t have time for the boat ride due to crowds and the time to return to the bus. I wish they skipped the pearl shop and we had more time to explore the caves.

I was only in Mallorca for about 24 hours but I wanted To see the caves. No Frills Excursions Hosted this tour and they went above and beyond to make sure that I could have a great trip and get back to the airport on time. They went as far as to make a special stop for me near the airport. The caves were wonderful too and I likes the little town with the beach an shopping where we stopped for lunch.

The Caves are not to be missed beautiful inside and the concert inside the Caves is amazing. Lots of steps 120 down to the bottom and 120 back up so must be healthy. Not enough time in pearl shop factory and store . Also bus was late picking us up at port and transportation from two different buses not very convenient. The driver had an attitude that was not the best to represent your company. He would talk back to clients in an unfriendly way!!

The most important thing to know if you are arriving by ship is this company does not have any contingency plans for you if your ship is delayed. Our ship was delayed about 90 min by local customs officials and as a result we were 30
min late to the meeting location. I sent 3 texts to the emergency number that were read but got no response. I called and they basically said sorry not our problem take it up with . The tour may have been wonderful but with no guarantees relative to delays beyond your control you may get stuck and be out the money.

I did the half day tour to Caves of Drach. On the way there, we stopped at the Pearl Shop for almost an hour. The Pearl shop was unnecessary... it wasn't that interesting and I don't think anyone on the tour bought anything. We did make a short picture stop at Porto Cristo, even though it was not on our itinerary, and I felt that was a bit of a tease since we literally had 5 minutes there. Based on teh description, the full day tour offers a chance to Explore Porto Cristo on a panoramic sightseeing tour, which I didn't really care to do so I decided to book a half day to see the Caves of Drach only I figured I could make do without the sightseeing tour. I am glad I got to see the town during my half day tour, but once we were there, we saw that this town had a lot of restaurants and a blue flag beach with a sandy beach. We were dying to go for a swim, or at least spend a bit more time to enjoy the area! I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you book the full day tour, ask the supplier if there is time to swim at that beach, as the description does not indicate swim time. The half day tour was fine, but it felt more like a transport to Caves of Drach rather than tour, and could have been improved if we skipped the pearl shop or at least spent no more than 15-20 min there for a bathroom break and spent more time at Porto Cristo like at least 30-60 min to have a chance to walk around town, get something to eat, walk on the beach.
