This tour was excellent. Franklin guided us through the mangroves, and was very knowledgeable about the trees, history of the land and surrounding area. We saw lots of birds and other animals on the way, and enjoyed a delicious dinner afterwards. Overall a great trip, would recommend!

We did this tour in December with Franklin as our guide. He was very informative and could answer any questions we had. The tour was relaxed and beautiful with a lot of great scenery in the mangroves. Franklin pointed out animals and plants to us and it is so nice to gently float in silence on the river. A great tour!

We had a great time paddling through the tranquil mangroves. Our guide, Franklin, was terrific. He clearly loves what he does and that made our experience even better. We saw a tiger heron, racoon, crabs, iguanas, and many other creatures. The lunch was also great. I highly recommend this trip!

We did this tour with Franklin and David at the Mangrove and we were very happy. Frankling was very professional, patient and took the time to explain everything to us in as detailed a way as possible. The trip included refreshments and pineapple snacks as well as breakfast back at the office. We ate gallo pinto and that on its own was very tasty as well. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Kayaking was an ideal way to immerse ourselves in this fascinating environment. Our guide was knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics related to the plants, animals, and conservation efforts in the area. The monkeys put on a good show for us. In addition to being enjoyable, this was probably the most educational tour of our trip, though I have to say my teenage daughter did not appreciate it as much as I did. The kayaking was very relaxing—not at all athletically challenging since there was virtually no current.

My wife and I did this kayaking tour with Erlin as our guide. He was welcoming, personable, and so informative. We had lots of fun and learned a lot about this unique ecosystem. The tour itself was very beautiful and peaceful and we loved seeing so many monkeys up close! The lunch afterwards was also great. Definitely recommend that you do this tour if you are in Manuel Antonio.

My wife, a mutual friend, and I thought this tour sounded like fun, and we weren't disappointed. Our guide, Chris, was exceptionally knowledgeable, providing all sorts of interesting information on the mangrove ecosystem, both flora and fauna. We started in the main channel, but soon moved into the mangroves, traveling through areas where we had to pull in our paddles and propel ourselves by grabbing the nearby branches and roots. For the final leg of the tour, we drifted back with the current, mostly just using our paddles to steer, and floating along peacefully. There wasn't a ton of fauna, but we saw critters such as iguanas, herons, ibises, egrets, and tons of little crabs. At the end of the tour, we were lucky enough to see a bunch of capuchins, who put on quite the show for us. There was a boat docked on the mangrove side of the stream, and many of them jumped on the roof, tumbling around and chasing each other, and generally monkeying around. We sat and watched them for about 10-15 minutes. It was a fantastic finish to our tour. Can't recommend this tour enough. It was a unique and exceptionally enjoyable experience.
