The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals.

On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise.

Important note: select departures on Friday afternoons will focus on Climate Change in and around New York City. Please call the operator directly for questions on the tour theme.

My husband and teenage son and I had a wonderful time on the tour. It was a perfectly beautiful day with an excellent guide. We sat inside and also were able to go outside on the front of the boat and feel the breeze. It was an excellent way to see the Statue of Liberty and the boat slows to a stop for great photo opportunity. Just delightful!

This tour exceeded our expectations, it was superb. The yacht, the commentary, the staff and the course travelled were all excellent. I wish I could return and enjoy all over again.

Great information about the city and wonderful views of the Statue of Liberty. Love that is was calm boat ride and not crowded.

Nice, super comfortable, very clean private booths to sit and enjoy the amazing tour. The narrator was very knowledgeable and the wait staff Captain Marc (who was the server) and the bartender were amazing. The Captain (lady, sorry don’t remember her name) was very skilled and pleasant making sure everyone was safe and comfortable while navigating the Hudson with ease! Everyone worked so hard to make sure all were having a great time. It even rained pretty hard during the tour and we still give this tour the highest possible rating and recommendation.

This was an excellent architectural tour around Manhattan. The boat was lovely. It was great to have a reserved table. The staff was friendly. Our guide was so knowledgeable. It is a smaller vessel so it was not a huge crowd of people and that was so nice! I highly recommend this.

Doug, the expert architect and tour guide, was a wealth of knowledge about the past, current and future architecture and climate change plans. It was a unique way to see the entire island and the crew made the tour enjoyable and relaxing. A must-see experience.

  • 15-Jul-2023

Best experience in New York. Thank you Doug for a great description of architecture seen from small wooden boat. So comfortable with own table, air conditioning, bar and space to view from outside. Went around whole of Manhattan island in comfort. No crowds.

  • 15-Jul-2023

This tour was fantastic! We’ve been to NYC numerous times and never realized the amount of architectural significance in and around Manhattan. Plus it helped that our guide was an ACTUAL architect that even worked on some of the buildings that we saw. The boat itself was very clean and comfortable and the crew was great. The food was delicious and the drink options were plentiful. Highly recommend!

  • 14-Jul-2023

I did the same tour last year. Wanted to do it again because there was so much information. Or architectural guide was very knowledgeable and relay many stories about the buildings and experiences of the development. Recommended to everyone
