Step aboard the teak decks of your elegant 1920s style yachts, the Manhattan and Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The Around Manhattan tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals.
Aboard the yachts, experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from the climate-controlled and enclosed back-deck observatory or wander to the outer decks for fresh air and sunlight. Guests are treated to one complimentary beer, wine or champagne from the bar & a light snack about 1-hour into the trip. Additional beverages are available for purchase by credit card. On this cruise, you will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan (passing under all 18 bridges) while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration by a member of the AIANY Chapter.

Very interesting tour circumnavigating Manhattan. Was surprised by the awesome size and variety of buildings and bridges. Will do it again in October!

This tour is amazing! Everything from the attentiveness of the staff to the wonderful historical and architectural details of the city’s waterscape was fantastic. We will be crack!

This trip was the highlight of our visit to New York and one of the best tours we've experienced world-wide in the past several years. Superb commentary and expertise on the architecture of New York from the water starting from the dawn of the "skyscraper" to the ultra-high buildings being built now. Cannot recommend it strongly enough, it was a treat, for sure!

We did this tour on a nice sunny day. The views were terrific and we got many nice photos. Drinks and a substantial snack were provided during the cruise around Manhattan. Unfortunately, my drink crashed to the ground when the boat his a small wave but the crew graciously provided a free replacement, which was very, very nice of them. They couldn't have been nicer about cleaning up the mess, too. All in all, this was a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Seeing the buildings from the waterside provides a nice perspective.

The cruise was more than I anticipated. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgable. We learned about way more than the usual suspects. I brought 2 locals with me who also found the tour informative.

Completely wonderful with very knowledgable guide (an actual architect). Also nice amenities on board: one free drink plus snacks. Highly recommend for anyone interested in circumnavigating Manhattan and learning history through architecture.

We had beautiful weather. It was a great tour whether you just want to circumnavigate Manhattan or learn about the beautiful buildings that make up the NYC skyline. Having an architect as the guide was a real plus. It was nice to enjoy an adult beverage and have a healthy snack during the trip. We learned a lot and got some great photos. I would do this tour again.

Really enjoyed the entire trip and learned a lot from the architect's information. Gives a great overall view of the magnitude of this huge city.

My son lives in Queens, so I have done just about every typical touristy thing there is to do in NYC. My husband and I did an architecture boat tour in Chicago last year and it was a highlight of our visit, so when I saw this as an option I decided to book it for something different. It did not disappoint. First off, The boat itself is beautiful. It has glass everywhere making the views impeccable regardless of where you sit. There is also an outside observation area if you want to take photos or get some air. The staff was phenomenal and very attentive. A complementary drink and snacks were offered, which were nice perks. The best aspect of this cruise is that you will get every possible amazing view of Manhattan. You will leave Chelsea Piers, travel past Ellis and Liberty Islands, up the East River to view Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx as well as the entire east side of Manhattan, and then return along the Hudson River to view the west side. All the while you will learn fascinating history about several of the iconic building a bridges that encompass the city. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. It was money well spent and I have recommended this tour to all my friends and family.
