As the sun sets you'll tuck into a bay at the manta feeding area. Learn about the manta rays in Hawaii and receive a safety briefing on viewing guidelines and proper etiquette while in the water. Slip into a provided wetsuit, which helps keep you warm in temperatures that average 65 to 70 degrees, then put on your snorkel gear and enter the water with your guide.
You will hold onto a comfortable bar attached to a large surfboard with LED drop lights, allowing you to watch as mantas feed on millions of minuscule plankton attracted by the bright lights. Your guide keeps your board positioned over the manta ray snorkeling area. Chris and "Budda" did a fantastic job getting us to the spot, finding a good, active manta ray, and giving us enough time to watch it feed. It was really nice being part of a smaller group, as they literally swam us around to find the mantas, as opposed to the bigger boats where it appears the mantas have to swim to you if you want to see them. Highly recommend!

My kids said this was the best part of the 3 week trip. They are 28 and 16. Beautiful animals! Do it.

Family of six thoroughly enjoyed seeing the manta rays. The sea was a little rough but the boat captain set the expectations correctly. It was a thrilling ride in the dark. My only constructive criticism would be that the crew were more informative and helpful to the folks in our group that were new to snorkeling and and explained more before getting in the water ie keeping legs up, etc. Overall excellent!!

I cannot rave enough about how amazing our trip was! Captain Ty and Megan were the absolute best and took my mother and I out solo even though most of the group cancelled on the Manta Ray swim.

The boat ride there was so much fun in and of itself I would definitely recommend sitting toward the front of the boat and the sunset that we saw as we arrived at the manta ray swim was one of the most beautiful sunsets that I have seen in my entire life. Megan was an exceptional guide and got us right in the action. We had several manta rays doing back flips and munching all of the delicious plankton inches away from our noses. It was a memory that my mom and I will treasure for the rest of our lives and we are so grateful to Ty and Megan for the unforgettable experience.

You will not be disappointed. Water was warm and many manta rays. Saw manta ray regular and #34; and #34;Big Bertha and #34;. She was as big as a car! My husband and daughter could see inside Berthas mouth as she came up to our float board. Amazing and worth every penny.
