I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled after taking this tour. Our driver, Geovanny, was the best we had throughout our tour of Costa Rica. He was so thoughtful and kind, from helping us on and off the bus to stopping to take scenic pictures of the group. Danny, our tour guide, joined us at breakfast and provided an amazing tour, even before we entered the park. He was so knowledgeable, and you could tell he loved his work. Using his telescope, he made sure we saw all the park had to offer, and captured wonderful moments for all of us on our cell phones. It is a tour I will never forget!
Wonderful tour. Saw lots of wildlife. Our guide “Danny” was very knowledgeable. The experience was well worth it and one of our favorite adventures during our stay in Costa Rica.
Alan C. blew our expectations out of the water. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he treated us like familia. His knowledge on ecology gave us a unique perspective. He was thorough, fun, and found as many animals as he possibly could for us. You could tell this is his passion. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was also funny and friendly. The way that he led the tour made our whole group friends by the end of it. We can’t recommend him enough.
Our guide Danny was amazing- knowledgeable and enthusiastic. His English was great and he showed us everything we could have hoped for. We would thoroughly recommend this experience.
What a great day! Danny was our tour guide and he was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge of the park, it's nature, wildlife and history. He made the experience really fun and he was very friendly. We saw so many sloths!!! Danny helped us take pictures and videos of everything we saw. I couldn't have asked for a better morning. Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful time with Danny as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the park, it’s flora and fauna, and spotted things we would have never found on our own. He was also just a really nice guy. The park is very busy of course, but absolutely worth the trip. 100% recommended!
A pretty boring tour with a crap ton of tourists. Our tour guide just kept pointing at animals hanging around trees which is nice to see but the same as every other foundation guided tour in Costa Rica. There's not much history, interesting facts or uniqueness. Just more of a point and walk tour. Definitely not a hike! Our tour was supposed have lunch included, but it finished before lunch. The tour guide had a few funny jokes but not extremely ensightful. What was described as a half day tour left us stranded outside the gates of the park 10 minute before our agreed 1130 cut of point. We had to walk back to our hotel for an hour. Which is OK, but we wasted about 40 minutes looking for our guide, ringing the office and another 15 mins to get an answer... When someone says a half day tour, I'd expect the tour to last at least till lunch. This tour ended by 1030 at the beach. We didn't even cover the full park of Manuel Antonio. Tour guide didn't even come near the mangroves or explained anything about them. Apaling experience.
We had a great walk through Manuel Antonio national park although we were a bit sceptical at first. The entrance was very crowded and the main road was equally busy. But our guide took us in the opposite direction of all the other groups to avoid other people. Of all the national parks we saw the most animals here, mainly thanks to our great guide Allan.
Great visit with a great guide. We saw lots of the tiny creatures that you would never find without an expert guide (Carla) and her spotting scope. Carla helped us find so many things that you just wouldn’t spot on your own as well as sloths, monkeys and pelicans. Lovely to have fresh fruit and refreshments when we finished too.
The last 20 minutes was the highlight as we saw many monkeys up close on the walk out of the park! 😀 Our guide Carla was wonderful. They picked us up at our hotel in nice van with AC. The first 20 min of the walk inside the park was a bit annoying just because of the crowd - so many tour groups clustering to see wildlife. Carla really had an eye for spotting animals, reptiles, and insects that we could have easily Missed. Her telescope was super helpful! Its a bit of an effort to take swimwear and deal with being sandy but the swim in the warm aqua Pacific Ocean was well worth it. We had 40 minutes at the beach and reconvened for mile walk out. It is also nice not having to wait in line to buy an entry ticket, especially since the park sells out daily right now. I recommend this tour.
