Fantastic company. Our guide Igal was exceptional - so knowledgeable and kind. We had such a terrific time. Highly recommend.

Stefan greeted us at the ship and provided a fabulous tour of The Provence wine region. He is extremely knowledgeable about wine appellations, plantings, and production all over the world and shared tales of many experiences with us. We hope to encounter him again in our future visits.

My husband and I couldn't find any interesting excursions with Royal Caribbean so we booked this on Trip Advisor. It was our first time traveling overseas and our first time booking through Trip Advisor and the experience could not have been smoother. We took this tour in August of 2019. We were able to easily connect with our tour guide and the rest of our tour (a family of four). It was so nice to be in a small group where we could ask lots of questions and get a more personal experience. Our tour guide was so knowledgable and shared so much information about the wine, the area, and the culture. The wineries we went to were absolute gorgeous--beautiful views and delicious wine--what more could you ask for? We came with very little background knowledge of the wine making process so it was so fascinating to hear all about it. We got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. This tour was one of our favorite excursions and I would definitely recommend it, as it is fun, informative, and an amazing value!

We really enjoyed our visit to the 2 wineries and tastings at each one. I chose this tour because due to my husband’s knee problems he is unable to walk far. It was perfect. Our guide was excellent .her knowledge of English was very good and her in depth explanation of wine making in France was very thorough. The beautiful scenery and close up views of the estates made us feel we were seeing the ‘real France. We also visited the small town of Aix-en-Provence, a pretty old town with narrow streets and a square. We were the only 2 people on the tour so we truly had a private one!

Eric was an excellant tour guide and provided great education throughout the tour. The country side was beautiful. You get about an hour for lunch in a beautiful town. We wish we had more time there. The wineries we went to were ok.

We went on this tour May 2019 and Stefan was our tour guide. He was a fantastic guide giving lots of information about the region we were in as well as the wineries we visited. The first winery we went to was gorgeous and offered reds, whites, and roses. Then Stefan drove us to Cassis and stopped along the way for breathtaking views and pictures from the second highest cliff in Europe. Then he drove us down to the town area of Cassis where we had free time to explore the area and eat. In the town of Cassis there are ample restaurants along the water and area to shop as well. We then rod to the second winery where we tried a few whites and roses. There wasn’t as much area in this winery to tour compared to the first, but it still had nice views. After our second tasting, Stefan drove us back to our cruise ship with plenty of time to spare. We would highly recommend this tour!

We were on a cruise that docked in Marseille on October 16th ... there were no shore excursions offered by Royal Caribbean that interested us, so in the course of my research I stumbled across Provence Wine Tours and their shore excursion options for cruise passengers. The idea of a small group winery tour through Provence sounded like perfection and reviews here on Trip Advisor were stellar, so we booked independently and had an amazing day! Eric, our guide, was waiting for us in the cruise terminal that morning - the weather was cool and rainy, which turned out to be perfect for wine drinking. There were a total of 8 guests, all from the same cruise ship, and we visited two wineries during the day, with a stop at Aix en Provence for a quick lunch. Our first winery stop was Chateau Vignelaure, an estate about 35km from Aix, which was just stunning and which is known as the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Provence. Eric took us on a very thorough and fascinating tour of the winery, including the cellars, and then followed it up with a tasting of four fabulous wines: a white, a rose', and two examples of their cabernet sauvignon blends (2011 and 2004). We had a quick stop in Aix en Provence for lunch - we were on our own, but asked Eric for a recommendation and his suggestion to try La Belle Epoque was spot on; terrific food and drinks with a charming atmosphere. Our second winery stop of the day was Domaine de Saint-Ser, a gorgeous vinyard located on a hillside in the Cotes de Provence Sainte-Victoire area. This is a much smaller winery than the first we visited but the product was absolutely delicious and has won numerous awards over the years. We were fortunate enough to try five wines on this stop and enjoyed every one of them, along with discussion from the winery owner. I really can't say enough good things about this entire experience - the company itself was easy to work with and very friendly when we booked the excursion, Eric was a charming and knowledgeable guide, and our winery stops were both award-winning examples of Provence wines that made us wish we could ship a few cases back home to the US! If we have the opportunity to visit this region again, we look forward to booking another winery tour to a different area with Provence Wine Tours - we know we will be in good hands.

Great guide! Loved this tour!

This was a good tour. We learned a lot about wine-making in this area of France. The wineries we visited were beautiful and we absolutely loved visiting the town of Aix en Provence. My only complaint was that we booked an English speaking tour but there were some French speaking Canadians on our tour as well and they chose to converse with our tour guide in French throughout the day. My husband and I felt that we missed out on some information because we didn't speak French and that was frustrating at times.
