Phil at Zozo tours was amazing! We were here during the Women’s World Cup and immediately became friends with everyone on the tour! Phil memorized all our names by the time everyone got on the tour bus. This tour is the perfect choice for foodies who want to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful New Zealand nature. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Michael was the highlight of our tour! He was a perfect tour guide. We enjoyed the wine tasting at Poppy vineyards. The plate of food was beautiful and the staff was so nice. The areas of the North Island that we saw were simply breathtaking. It was a full day filled with laughter and stunning views. We will come back! Thank you!

The tour had something for everyone in our group. Nature, wild life, wine and good food. The lunch at Poppy's was amazing. I wish we could have spent more time over the lunch, and exploring the vineyard. The lady at the Lake Ferry Hotel offered the warmest hospitality. Phil was funny and interesting. We felt we got to know a lot more of New Zealand from this day out of Wellington. The van was a little tight. We were packed! Maybe, we could have done only the chocolate or the cheese so we could have more time outdoors. My vote would be the chocolate. The cheese place just gave us one little cube, nothing really interesting to eat or see.

Phil was a great tour guide and had tons of knowledge about our wine country adventure. From the seals to the chocolate store to the winery & lighthouse, all were great destinations. He even ordered up a rainbow!

  • 28-Jul-2023

This has a little bit of everything. The seals and the lighthouse were the highlights. But, the lunch with all local foods and wine was great too. The blind tasting of 12 different chocolates was fun and I think everyone bought some afterwards. Phil was a great guide. The rainforest and cheese shop were good too, as was the dinner at Lake Ferry Inn.

If you are looking to get a great NZ experience, this is it! It’s well rounded with wine, food, nature, and scenic views. Phil was a great host and we really enjoyed his company and knowledge about NZ. This is a long day with lots of time in the car, but there are many stops and great views of NZ you won’t get in the city.

This is a great tour to do. Communication with company was excellent. Prompt pick up from our hotel in the morning. Phil was our driver. Excellent commentary as we headed out of town and also throughout the day. The weather was misty and windy but it did not impact on our day. Nice stops for cheese and chocolate tasting. Beautiful lunch at winery with wine tasting. Afternoon on the coast was amazing. Beautiful views of the wild coast and some many seals to see. Walk up to Lighthouse is great with fantastic views. Finished of with a beautiful meal back in Featherston at the Royal Hotel. Highly recommend.
