The crater in Haleakala valley was beautiful but very cold. The rest of the tour was very average, the national park portion was closed during our tour so perhaps if that had not been closed it would have been better but as it stood after the crater we were taken to a mall and a plantation which were very boring. Lahaina town is very nice but if you don't want to shop this may not be the tour for you.
I will say our guide was lovely and funny.

The scenery at Haleakala and Ioa Valley were breathtaking! I just wish we were given more time to explore the areas. 20 minutes is just not enough! It's not like we were in a large group, it was just my three girlfriends and I. Our guide said he was on a schedule, and will get in trouble if he didn't follow it. At Lahaina, we were basically dropped off to walk around and shop. We could have done that on our own.
This tour is not worth the price!

This was a fabulous tour. Bjorn was a wonderful tour guide - lots of fun, giving us tons of information, making sure to take pictures of us with our camera, and obviously loving what he does. Haleakala is just incredible, as is Ioa Valley. We had amazing weather, and therefore amazing views of Maui. We were also happy that we had a chance to visit Lahaina. Don't miss this tour!

Fantastic day-long tour to see some of Maui's best features. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable, and with only 4 people on the tour, it felt like a personalized trip. A perfect tour for anyone spending just a few days on Maui

We were collected right on time in a small bus. There were only a dozen or so on the tour.
Our bus driver was a font of information on the history, flora and fauna, local info and was interesting to listen to.
We made our way to the top of Halekala with a couple of stops on the way. The weather was wet and foggy as we drove higher.
We reached the summit and I managed one photo of the Observatory before cloud covered everything.
It was freezing cold and the wind was blowing the icy clouds so hard it felt like sleet - I found this fun. It is always a lottery as to whether any view will be available. We had been warned about the cold so were prepared.
We continued on our way and it was a very enjoyable tour. We finished the day happy and relaxed from the interesting tour.
    Well done.

The first part of the tour up the Volcano was excellent, however being dropped in Lahaina and left on our own didn't really make me happy. Lahaina is a very touristy place with most shops catering for the tourist. I was expecting a proper tour along the coastline. The guide was good and was informative. If you don't want to go shopping I suggest you find another tour.
