Our journey begins early in the morning while the rest of the island sleeps.Meet your naturalist interpretative Maunakea trained guide at our Kona headquarters or at your designated pick-up location.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Maunakea Visitor Information Station, Hilo, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

After a brief stop at the Maunakea Visitors Information Station to acclimate, serve hot drinks, and star gaze lead by your guide we head to the summit to watch the first rays of dawn crawl across the landscape.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Mauna Kea Summit, Kailua-Kona, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

See the morning sky light up in brilliant shades of red, orange, purple and blue. On the way down, learn about the cultural and scientific significance of the mountain, as you drive past the worlds greatest collection of telescopes.
