Know More about this tour

Start your day early; get picked up at your hotel or meet the group at the centrally located meeting point in Split or Trogir. A scenic route across the border takes you through some picturesque villages of the rural Bosnia and Herzegovina as you approach the fantastic little city – Počitelj. This small medieval town was built on a rocky cliff on Neretva River and it gives a great overview of the Ottoman Empire and the affect of the eastern culture on small town in this zone.

Later on, enjoy a short ride to Mostar – a city from the past, the point of connection between the west world and the exotic eastern culture. Explore the city with a local guide and listen about all the hypnotizing historical anecdotes. You’ll find yourself bedazzled at the sight of the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) – a majestic stone arch above the Neretva River, connecting two medieval towers, giving the city a widely recognizable visual identity. Here you can testify at one of a kind spectacle performed specially for the visitors of the city – young locals showing off in their daredevil stunts; throwing themselves off the twenty meters high Old Bridge into the icy water of the Neretva River. Mind you, not anyone can perform these acrobatic tricks! There’s a special crash course that you would need to pay and attend before anyone lets you jump into the river from that height. So just relax and enjoy while professionals do it the best way they can! Cross over the bridge to check out the Ottoman quarter which has been attractively restored after the war in the nineties. Check out the old Bazar, the Mosque and then, after the walking tour, enjoy exploring the city on your own. This city will inspire you with its oriental structured streets and buildings, friendly people, good tasty food and a very distinctive coffee culture which might remind you of Turkey. So make the most of your free time here in Mostar to sit back and relax on one of the terraces, try out traditional food or explore the immense line of souvenir shops to bring back home some unique oriental-looking-like souvenirs.

The ride back to Split leads you through the rocky landscapes of Herzegovina all the way to the amazing natural wonder known as Kravica Waterfall where you can enjoy the amazing landscapes, and perhaps even jump into the refreshing waters of the river to cool down. After arriving in Split or Trogir you will be dropped off at the same place where you were picked up in the morning.

  • The tour was lots of fun and informative. Our guide, Petar, was most helpful and full of interesting information about Croatia, its history, geography, and even some of the modern political and social issues of the day. He suggested a few other short day trips we could enjoy around Split, and how to access them. Mostar was beautiful, and our guide, Mary, was delightfully dramatic in her presentation. The waterfalls turned out to be a lovely side trip. I suggest bringing a towel and bathing suit, and enjoying a refreshing i.e. freezing! dip in the lovely pool beneath the falls. Be prepared for a long day, but it is never rushed. The pace is relaxed.

  • We really enjoyed our trip to Počitelj, Mostar and Kravica Waterfall. Our guide was very informative and friendly. She told us all about the history of not only Bosnia and Herzegovina but also Croatia. We found that we had more than enough free time in each of the places. I really loved Mostar...it's such a beautiful city.

  • I could not say enough in high praise of this trip - Ivan was our driver, Peter our guide. Thank you guys for a wonderful insightful day out. Also thanks to AnnaMaria who guided us around Mostar for a while - very enjoyable.
There was plenty of time at each stop off to browse / eat / relax - the journey over and back across the border was without issue and speedy.
Most especially I would like to acknowledge Peter's in-depth knowledge of the history of Croatia and neighbouring countries - well done Peter and every success in the future.
Thanks again to all you guys for a memorable day out !

  • We had a great day after a poor start! We were waiting in Trogir from 6.30am, but the tour company were expecting us to be in Split, so we didn't get collected until 8 am. After that, it was fine...our guide Anna Maria in Mostar was really lovely and recommended good places to eat, drink and shop. Waterfalls and lake were wonderful to swim in, but it's a long hot walk there and back. This is quite a 'hands off' laid back tour with not much info, but great if you don't want someone talking at you non-stop! We enjoyed it...

  • It was a rainy day which couldn't be helped. Vanessa was your agent on the van and Anton the driver. Myrna was our guide in Medugorje. Vanessa did not talk about either location, Croatia in general, or anything during the trip. We pried a bit of information out of her at Medugorje. As we were getting to Medugorje, she said the ascent might be closed in this weather, but she never checked nor encouraged us to try it to see if we could go up. We were only in town for 1 hour. We arrived during a Mass and coudn't enter the church. The only thing available to do was souvenir shops and coffee. Our guide at Mostar was okay but the tour itself was less than an hour. This was a very disappointing experience.
