Know More about this tour

Meet at Saigon opera house prior to your 8am departure, and set out on your 8-hour tour from Ho chi minh city in an air-conditioned coach. After a 2.5-hour ride through the countryside, arrive in My Tho, a former naval base that is now a bustling port city in the Mekong Delta. As the terminus of the Mekong river, which winds through six countries from Tibet to Vietnam, this incredibly fertile region produces approximately half of Vietnam's total agricultural output, and life revolves around the the delta.

Upon arrival into My Tho, board a private long-tail boat for a cruise on the Mekong river. On the boat ride, your local guide delves into the history of the region and steers you to an island with lush tropical gardens. Sample tropical fruit before continuing to another island in the Mekong Delta, where your guide will share stories of the area's cottage industry, coconut candy. Visit a coconut candy factory, where you'll hear the history of the industry and watch how this confection is made.

As you continue your journey along the river, take the opportunity to stop at local villages and experience more of the traditional lifestyles, culture, and customs of the people who call the Delta their home. Purchase handcrafted souvenirs as you experience the more relaxed pace of the Delta, in stark contrast to the bustling streets of Ho chi minh city.

Transfer from your boat to Xe Loi, a motorized cart that transports you to a bee farm, where you'll transition to a smaller rowing boat that allows you to get deeper into the smaller canals of the Delta.

Sample local Mekong cuisine at the Diem Phuong Restaurant, where lunch is served. After lunch, once again board the air-conditioned coach for the return journey from My Tho to Ho chi minh city, where you'll be dropped back off at Saigon opera house.

This tour was a disappointment, as I felt 90% of the tour we were taken to local business who tried to sell us various products. You only get about 10 minutes on the rowing boat on the canal, the rest of the tour is not really worth it.our guide was sick, so didn’t interact with us most of the day, he slept for over an hour in a hammock at lunch, we didn’t know what we were eating, or what the plan was. Very disappointing!

When your tour guide tells passengers that the Vietnamese worship white people’s skin color and they don’t want to be dark whilethere are people of color aboard, makes for a very uncomfortable tour. The tour guides need to “know their audience” in this case quite obvious before making such comments.

The tour included multiple stops, on different islands on the delta. We learned about the lives of the villagers, how they sustain themselves, their agriculture and animal husbandry.

This tour was wonderful with only 7 people along with good driver and wonderful guide LINDA . She spoke English very well. The sights and personal attention were great.

We had a nice time with other tourists who came from different countries. Our guide Fully speaks decent English and he was always willing to learn. We expect more war memory but bit surprised by all the sales of Mekong area's products. For our generation Mekong Delta is a place of sad sentiment and it was only our hope to pray for all the souls both Vietnamese, Americans and others.

This tour was extremely well-planned and well-executed. The guide 10 voice very professional and information given the participants was more then expected .

The lunch was extremely good and we have not had the pleasure of having a lunch of this type in our whole visit to Vietnam.

This tour is a must in Vietnam and is highly recommended

Fun tour. Pick up and meet point easy with good directions given. Good communication and tour guide was super knowledgeable and helpful. Seemed a little touristy (buy stuff from the places we take to please....) but not tons of pressure. Would recommend and use company again

Thuong aka Miss Love was our tour guide. She greeted us with a smile and made the whole day a fun and positive experience. My seven year old and I came to Vietnam from Okinawa, Japan and met our family from California. We loved riding in the boat and visiting the three islands. Throng was the best ever at ensuring a great day seeing the local culture while making a wonderful memory.
