My husband and I thought this was a very interesting museum. I thought it was going to be your typical maritime museum - but instead it was about a family who found the largest treasure on a sunken Spanish ship. It is well displayed also.

A great look into the history of the Caribbean. A lot of great artifacts from pirate and colonial history

After having heard about tis on BizBaz US1 Radio for years, I finally was able to with with the family. Many Thanks to Melisa for making this a very special visit. So many artifacts recovered from shipwrecks over the years, especially the Atocia that Mel Fisher spent a good part of his life searching for. We did not take in the Lab Tour but that is another great opportunity here.

We really enjoyed our visit. The museum was very interesting. The movie at the beginning helped put the rest in perspective. Very glad we rented the audio guide.

The best museum in Key west!!! If you think that you have seen everything you are wrong!! You must come to this museum if you want to be a witness of spanish supremacy in 1550's year. The history is amazing there!

Everyone there was very helpful and knowledgeable. Did the tour with the audio which helped bring the experience to life. Would highly recommend as something to visit while in Key West.

The museum was interesting with lots of historical events and photos. Interesting about the slave trade. The audio tour was confusing

We chose the silver package and enjoyed the audible tour. Took about an hour to complete and we learned a few things along the way. Worth the money

It was just ok. I love adventure and treasure and the lore. It was a little disappointing that there were not a lot of actual items from the Atocia. Sure there were old procured items that helped tell the story, but you can see that stuff in any museum. We wanted to use the audio tour but they didn’t have any left. So we walked and read almost all the display text. I would say if you got an hour to kill and don’t mind paying the admission it is a nice distraction from the bar scene.
