Sky Tower Malacca is accessed via Level 42 of Tower 1 at The Shore , which is a retail and residential development comprising two hotel towers and two residential towers above a podium containing The Shore Shopping Gallery. It is located on the riverbank facing Kampung Morten and just a short walk away from the UNESCO World Heritage district of historic Melaka.
The view from the top encompasses not just Melaka city, but out at sea you can see the Straits of Melaka, Pulau Besar and other islands, while inland in the distance stands Gunung Ledang.
A glass bottom ledge overhangs from the side of the building and, if you are not scared of heights, you can experience a vertiginous view of the ground far below your feet. However to step on the glass area you have to agree to have your photo taken by the official photographer and no selfies or own camera shots are allowed. Of course you do not have to buy the photo if you are not happy with it.
the views are better, and you can take great photos of the city. There is not much else to do on the rooftop other than take photos. The glass bottomed koi pond is a novel idea.
While at Sky Tower you can try out the Sky Deli restaurant on Level 42 for a meal with a view. This is the best place to enjoy a great view of Melaka during the day or at night.
