  • The city tour was very disappointing. We drove quickly by some famous spots: The Cotton Museum, The Lorraine Motel, The Sun Recording Studio and a few old wealthy homes. We watched the ducks at the Peabody Hotel, which was of little interest to me, although it was nicely done. We spent the longest period of time at a museum at St. Judes which was a homage to Danny Thomas. I doubt that anyone on our tour was interested in that spot and did not care to spend any length of time there. We ate lunch on our own on Beale Street. The driver/guide was difficult to understand as she described the sights. She repeated herself several times. She did not give a good explanation that the tickets that we were given were needed at the very end of the tour in order to board the bus to be returned to our hotel. I did not get a good overview of the history of Memphis and left without interest in returning to Memphis. The Riverboat Cruise was more interesting. We circled the river from bridge to bridge. The tour guide gave a great deal of information and had some interesting anecdotes with some humor.
I would recommend the Riverboar Cruise but not the Memphis City Tour.

  • Was great. Lot of fun. Would recommend visitors to Memphis go on this tour.

  • Very nice trip. Excellent tour descriptions

  • In my personal experience this was an extra-ordinary adventure. Very knowledgeable staff and the riverboat ride was an enjoyable educational experience eventhough I am not a fan of history lessons much : I will do this again next visit to Memphis. The price may be a little high but an investment for an unforgettable day and fun !
You deserve it , if you visit Memphis !

  • Easy way to spend the day. Lots to see. Note- when changing buses before the riverboat cruise no matter waht driver says- DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING ON THE BUS. THE BUSSES DO CHANGE. We did get everything from the bus before we boarded the cruise. The drivers do communicate with each other.

  • It was really nothing too much to see. Complete waste of my time and money. I would not recommend this tour.

  • You can do tour on your own.

  • Sad, you don't get to see much of the area, just a few miles upstream, then you return.

  • The narrator on the boat ride left a lot to be desired.

  • The Memphis City Tour was a wonderful tour and wonderful day! The tour guides were friendly and very educated on the history of beautiful Memphis.
