We will also show you Victorian Village which are homes built in the 1800's, two statues of the Kin Elvis Presley and B.B King.  You will witness history at the Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther King was assassinated on the balcony, Elvis Presley's beautiful Graceland and even a stop at A Schwab, a 120 year old general store. Don't forget about The Peabody Hotel to stop and see the March of the World Famous Ducks!

Then there is The Island Queen, a historical paddle-wheel boat with three decks offering great views. We will cruise down the mighty Mississippi River and soak in the sights as you hear interesting commentary from your captain. Pass by Tom Lee Park, named after Tom Lee, a worker who jumped into the river to save the lives of 32 passengers of a sinking steamboat in 1925.  Along the way, you'll learn all about the history of the river and discover how Mississippi influenced commerce in Memphis and the surrounding areas. • I took my mother and her husband on a multi-city trip which began in Memphis. We took the City Tour and Riverboat cruise and was very pleased at all the places we got to see. Although my mom is elderly and walks with a cane, there was plenty of time to look around at each stop and we never felt rushed. At the riverboat she was able to take a golf cart to the boat and there was one waiting when we disembarked so that went smoothly. Great tour!

  • Pinky our guide was excellent and so was our guide Eddie on the riverboat. Both were funny and informative.

  • Even though its a few weeks since Memphis with a lot of experiences since it was a great day particularly finding out about Danny Thomas and his philanthropy and also the paddle steamer cruise. We'd already been to Beale St so didn't take the two hour option to wander around there. Cannot include any photos at this time as havent downloaded them yet . Thankyou.

  • I love riding with a boat special with a steamboat. Have to go.

  • Thank you for a full day of fun! Michelle was the best!! She had us Georgia girls in stitches. The Riverboat "history teacher" was full of interesting Memphis facts as well. Thanks again.

  • Tour was enjoyable! Encompassing as it had to cover a range of topics from music to sickness to ducks to historical information to ..... The tour guide was able to transfer from one topic to another with ease and his love and enthusiasm as he shared information was infectious. The guide's knowledge was limitless. Cruise allowed you to see the Memphis Skyline from another perspective while being provided with ongoing information from a staff member. Relaxing way to end the day.

  • Guide was very knowledgeable, but, unless you were sitting in front, or the top deck, you could not enjoy both sides of the river and you would miss a lot.

  • A really good tour, even though it was raining our driver and tour guide Willie made it so enjoyable.
We saw all the main sites including the Peabody ducks, the hotel where Dr Martin Luther King was assassinated and Sun studios.
The riverboat trip was very good, but Willie was a fun and highly entertaining guide and made us forget the weather.

  • City tour very informative and great guide. Slightly disappointed with river cruise commentary but interesting just the same.

  • This is our sixth Viator Tour in three years. All previous tours were top notch and definitely 5 stars. This tour started out questionable with the tour guide picking us up 20 minutes late from the hotel. From the hotel we went to the Visitors Center where we got out of our bus for about 10 minutes to look around and then put on a different bus crammed with more people. It's all about efficiencies. The new tour guide was was not entertaining and even less informative. I lost count of how many times she told us about the Cotton Exchange as we drove by and where the dirty and clean cotton were stored downtown during the early 1900s. That seemed to be all the tour guide knew. Drove 2 blocks away from the Lorraine Hotel. If you pull out your binoculars and look between those two cars you can see where MLK was shot. Took us to Beale street for almost two hours to drop us off for lunch and for us to look around. Once again late in picking us up so we had to wait in the hot Memphis sun during the middle of the day. Passed by where they stored the cotton which was pointed out Again!! and dropped us off at the Riverboat Cruise.. Cruise was very informative and entertaining. Not one mention of cotton storage. Got back on the bus to be dropped off at our hotel. On our way back to hotel....Wait...don't tell me, I beg you don't tell me...could that be where they stored the cotton again at the Cotton Exchange? Arrrrgh!! I honestly started looking around to see if we were being punked. The highlight of the tour was not the Cotton Exchange as one might think. It was St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Beautiful gardens and great history All in all a very disappointed in the tour. Come on Viator you are better than this. But if you are interested in hearing over and over about the storing of cotton at the Cotton Exchange ad nauseum this is the tour for you!!
