If youre experiencing rock climbing for the first time, this peaceful quarry in Mendip will get you hooked no previous training is required!
From here we walk, climb and scrabble along the rocky crags of Mendip, admiring the stunning views stretching across Somerset. Hike past the famous caves of Mendip including the Rock of Ages, Avelines Hole, and Goatchurch Cavern before stopping for lunch at Beacon Batch, the summit of the highest hill in Mendip.
In the afternoon we head straight over to Chew Valley lake to enjoy a picnic with local cider and cave-matured cheese. Then its a sun-set photo-shoot at one of the largest complexes of prehistoric standing stones in England, Stanton Drew.
