Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour and Martin's narration. I would recommend that you read the book or see the movie(which I have) as I don't think you would enjoy as much if you did not already have some background info. It was a great day!

Our tour guide knew this book and movie! Though not a Savannah native, he was married to one. Martin showed us key places in the book as well as some more out of the way, such as where John Berandt met Joe. The walk was placed a bit slow for me, but that was likely due to the rain. It was an altogether satisfying experience.

This was a wonderful and insightful walking tour. You will gain a great insight about the book...movie...and actual people who were a part of one the most fascinating stories to come out of the south.

The tour guide gave an excellent tour of locations and key players from the book and the movie. The added benefit is getting to know your way around Savannah.

I’ve had my share of tours getting cancelled because I was the only one to sign up for a specific time and date, so imagine my surprise when my tour guide Martin was waiting for me prompt and ready when I got to our rendezvous point despite the fact that I was the only one he was hosting. Martin is the epitome of a genteel Southerner, quick with colorful stories and engaging conversation. The time just flew, and Savannah truly came alive under Martin’s affectionate and deeply knowledgeable storytelling. Tours that pass by landmarks are ok, but tours that linger are the best. Sign up for one of Martin’s Midnight/Garden tours...I highly recommend it
