Know More about this tour

Meet your guide and small group in central Milan and set out on a walking tour of the city.

Start with a visit to the UNESCO-listed church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a true masterpiece designed by the architect Bramante, and visit the Dominican convent where the world-renowned “The Last Supper” is displayed. Avoid the queues with skip-the-line entrance and enjoy a guided visit to the iconic mural painting, designed by the Italian genius of Renaissance art, Leonardo da Vinci. Take the time to admire the masterpiece up close as your guide points out details about the composition, the perspective effects, the use of colors, and much more.

Just a few blocks away, continue your tour with a visit to the 16th-century church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, the “Sistine Chapel” of Milan, considered one of the finest yet little visited artistic jewels of the city. Here, disciples of Leonardo decorated the walls, the side chapels and the ceiling with colorful frescoes.

Finally, stop to admire the imposing Castello Sforzesco and stroll through the surrounding Sempione Park, as you learn more about the Sforza family, who once inhabited the royal fortress.

Your tour ends in central Milan.

  • Wonderful tour- very insightful and moving with a passionate expert guide. We felt very honored to view this masterpiece which has inspired so many over the centuries. We had missed seeing The Last Supper on 2 previous trips to Milan, so we were very pleased that this short tour was offered. We only stayed for the Last Supper viewing and it was good that you could opt out of the rest of the tour if you were pressed for time. We highly recommend this tour.

  • An amazing piece of history. Davido, our guide was able to shepherd a moderate sized group 16 through the streets of Milan, all the while explaining the history and stories of everything we passed. He patiently answered all questions and left everyone satisfied with our three hour tour.

  • Lara was an enthusiastic and well-prepared guide. We had a good intro before seeing DaVinci's Last Supper for the requisite 15 minutes.

The visits to the Chapel and the Fortress were interesting, and 2 hours is the perfect time for taking in the sights and sounds of Renaissance Milan!

  • Our walking tour of Milan was great! Our tour guide was terrific and very knowledgable. He was also funny and entertaining. This tour was a great addition to our stay in Milan. We saw so many beautiful and interesting churches, castles, parks and works of art. We would definitely book a tour with Viator again!

  • Our guide was very informative and enthusiastic about the art that we experienced. I enjoyed, in particular, the Sistine Chapel of Milan aspect of the tour, and his comparison of the different painting styles in the monastery. A first rate tour!

  • Donatella was friendly and knowledgeable of the area's history and landmarks. The tour was very interesting and went for an appropriate amount of time.

  • David was an excellent guide. Despite the sweltering heat, the two hours flew by and we came away feeling that we really had learned something.

  • I recommend this tour for the beautiful sites and excellent tour guide. If you like history and religious art you won't be disappointed.

  • Loved this experience. The Last Supper is a must see. They only entertain small groups for 15min each. So it's perfect. David was a very helpful guide

  • This is the best way to see The Last Supper. Our guide explained important historical information that was new to us. We have visited this treasure before but on our own. It is worth the tour to gain insight and knowledge. To our surprise, you are allowed to take photos/video. This was new to us since a few years back there was no video or photography allowed. Please be aware that they are very strict about flash photography not allowed. Our guide was terrific!
