Know More about this tour

You’ll be picked up from a central Paris meeting point or your hotel (depending on option selected) in the early morning to begin your full-day adventure to Mont St-Michel. Sit back and enjoy the views on the long coach drive north through the beautiful Normandy countryside.
Arrive at Mont St-Michel in the late morning for your guided walking tour of this iconic attraction, perched on a rocky island amid a vast bay and encircled by stout ramparts and battlements. After fueling up with lunch and refreshments (included), follow your expert guide on a walk to the top of the hilly village, where you’ll then travel back in time as you enter the fascinating abbey.
Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, Mont St-Michel was a major cultural and pilgrimage center during the Middle Ages. Legend has it that the abbey was founded in the 8th century, when Aubert, the bishop of Avranches, was visited by the Archangel Michael in a dream. To this day the abbey is still crowned by a gilded copper statue of Michael slaying a dragon, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
See the abbey’s remarkable cloister and refectory, and view how the ramparts have been added to support the Gothic monastery over the centuries. You’ll also hear about this attraction's most well-known and alluring feature: the extreme tides. At low tide, the island can be surrounded by bare sand for miles, but at high tide — barely six hours later — the water swells up and fills the bay, surrounding the entire island.
After your tour, you’re free to wander the village around Mont St-Michel on your own. Walk around the abbey's ramparts, browse the shops along the main street, visit the island's museums, and watch the sea rush in from the Atlantic and surround Mont St-Michel at high tide.
You will spend approximately four hours at Mont St-Michel before departing on your relaxing drive back to Paris.

Unfortunately, I was ill that morning , and unable to risk going on such a long trip by myself! I really felt bad about having to miss it! The lost money being the least of my worries! I had really wanted to see San Michel. It was to be the highlight of my trip,

This tour was great, a must if visiting Paris! The bus is comfy, the wifi works in and out but its a nice drive so you barely notice how long it is, once you have a break in the middle it goes pretty quick. The lunch was good, only a couple of downsides was they served fish and if you didn't eat seafood there was no other option and I thought the lunch was a bit long. The bus to get to Mont Saint Michel is crammed and very busy. Mont Saint Michel is spectacular, the tour was good and you get some free time to have a look on your own.

The trip and location itself was AMAZING. There were stops built into the stop for snacks and a meal. The break time is short, so make sure to plan accordingly. The meal included was Salmon, and I am allergic to fish. I HIGHLY recommend you notify at the time of booking food allergies. The tour guide made it sound like it was my fault I could not eat the meal and made it sound like it was big deal for the chef to make something else. Options for the meal were not given and the company appears to order the same thing for each person. Other than the food issue everything about this trip was amazing. We had two tour guides and our group could choose between English, French, and Spanish for our language of choice. We had plenty of time to shop at the end and get some great photos. Worth the trip!

A very long day but a worthwhile trip. Our guide was trying to communicate in both English and Spanish and I found his frequent 'ehr's' and 'aaah's' very irritating. He didn't seem to know much about the region and some of what he said about St Michel was inaccurate. However, the site is well worth seeing and the lunch was very good.

Again, the Viator guide and actual tour were outstanding. Crowds at first rest stop chosen by ? were terrible. We had a 30 min break and I spent 29 of those minutes waiting for a toilet. Restaurant wait time for lunch over an hour was dismal. Meal was so-so, and restaurant atmosphere left a LOT to be desired. Shuttle bus ride was particularly gruesome we were packed in like sardines after a long wait for ANY bus with space.

This tour was disappointing in two ways. The lunch was not good. The food was bland and I dont like salmon. We were not given a choice of anything else and had I known it was going to be salmon I would not have added the meal. They provided 1 liter of water plus 1 liter of cider per 10 people for the entire meal. This means that each person should be limited to 100 milliliters of each liquid. By the time my husband and I got the bottles they were empty. I asked for more water and was told no. Toward the end of the meal they did bring a couple of carafes of water to our table.

The second disappointment was the lack of knowledge, enthusiasm, and poor communication skills of our guide. Her knowledge was limited and inaccurate. When she spoke it often sounded as though she were repressing a yawn and she said um and ah and so as almost every other word. I would recommend this tour as an on you own and I definitely would recommend you not include the lunch.

This is a great tour-worth doing although it is a long day.

The hotel pick up was20 minutes late and no effort made to let us know they were running late.As pick up was at 6.30 am we were disappointed to have been up early and no communication to say they were running late.

Also disappointed that on drive back to Paris the 30 minute meal stop was at a place that had no hot food at all-star only sandwiches and salads. Not great on customer care

I loved this tour. The guide was attentive and knowledgable, the site amazing. We had adequate time to explore on our own and it wasn't too crowded. The bus was extremely comfortable and the rest stops clean and provided all we needed.
