From your Montego bay hotel you will be taken over the mountains for a 1 hour and 30 minute drive led by your professional and friendly guide. Here you will see how the average Jamaican lives, in areas built into the mountains. You will see little old towns that were developed during slavery and you will get a chance to see a lot of local fruit trees, cacao plants, bread fruit and more! The bus will stop at some of the local stands so that you can purchase and fresh coconut water and organic, local fruits.
The tour will then continue on to downtown Montego bay where you will visit historic beginning at Sam Sharp Square. Next you will visit the St James Parish Church which was built in 1775 and still fully functional. From you will continue on to the Richmond Hill Great House which was built in 1804 and is situated on top of a hill in the center of town. From the Great House you get a panoramic view of the entire city of Montego bay. This is a perfect photo spot!
After sightseeing, there will be an authentic Jamaican lunch (additional cost) and time for some shopping. After shopping you will be returned to your Montego Bay hotel.

History is Jamaica was interesting, I thought we were supposed to stop for shopping. Our guide very quickly stopped at our request it but did not seem to be part of the tour. He did not summarize the tour before we departed. He was very nice but was more focused on personal problems than entertaining us.

Melton was a fantastic guide. In addition to all the items listed s being on tour, he showed us an incredible number of fruit trees, and sometimes picked a sample for each of us. I had never eaten an almond right off the tree before--incredibly delicious. The only plea for a tip was by a very young (7 or 8?) girl who went to the neighborhood school funded solely by donations and the community. I have trouble walking so tour guide helped me during the one area where you walked up to the school. He was so supportive, knowledgeable, and personable. I highly recommend tour & Melton.

You will want to request Junior for this tour. He is extremely friendly, professional and informative. After spending this short time with Junior, it felt as though he was family. He is a true class act and I would highly recommend him!

Lindsey was our tour guide and he was great. There were 9 of us on the tour and we had plenty of room. We went shopping, we ate, and visited other of the beaten path places. We didn't have to worry about crowds or anything. We made it back to the drop off point with plenty of time.

Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. An insight into the "real" Jamaica away from the tourists attrractions. Very enjoyable!

Thanks to Jermain for a good tour. Informative and helpful we gained another insight to urban and rural Jamaica. Richmond Hill was good ending to the trip.
-
The wonderful experience began the moment we were greeted at the port. Lindsey and his wife were gracious and hospitable. Our guide, Marlin, was super. He gave us a lot of information and had answers for all our questions. He went over and beyond our expectations!
-
This trip was amazing! The company picked us up right outside the cruise ship terminal and away we went. Marlon, Lindsay and the whole team were amazing to work with before and during our tour. I highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again!

Horrible, horrible tour. Basically the driver shows you an upper class neighborhood, lower class neighborhood . Tour is advertised as being 5 hrs, well our tour lasted exactly 2:12 minutes . I felt like it's a total setup. Driver stopped 2 times, first time in downtown and handed us off to 2 men who gave you a little slave history. Problem was, both men expected money and would not take no for an answer. Next stop was Church around the corner. Same thing, they expected more money. Coming out the church another man selling items is positioned at the van. Tour is sold as being able to request things you want to see. Did not happen, driver was so busy doing personal errands. Didn't stop in Margaretville at all, drove thru. Simply don't waste your money on this tour.SabrinaDallas, Tx
