I was looking for a taster of a country I had never visited before. This was a tour with quite a bit of driving on smallish roads - quite bumpy at times - but in some spectacularly beautiful scenery. There were 19 guests (the maximum) on my tour, with the guide Tiana who was very interesting and had some good jokes! She got the commentary just right - not talking all the time, but giving us plenty of insights into the country we were visiting (Montenegro), including from the point of view of her own country (Croatia) as well as more generally. Pickup time from my hotel was very early in the morning but exactly at the promised time and all the arrangements worked smoothly. The minibus takes a while to pick everyone up, but then we made good progress because it was a Sunday in October and there was not too much traffic. Border crossing was easy - we were told that this is often not the case in high season, and also takes much longer with a big group.
Perast was pretty and we had time to wander around and take photos. The trip to Our Lady of the Rock (artificial island) was interesting but quite crowded - we then continued by boat to Kotor, with some commentary by a local guide. This was a lovely way to arrive in Kotor. Local guide then gave us a quick tour of the Old Town, again very crowded because there were cruise ships in the bay, before giving us a couple of hours free time to get lunch or explore. I walked up to the Fortress - a very hot and exhausting walk with 1,350 steps but definitely worth it if you like that sort of thing, and a fantastic view at the top. The return journey was fine and we were back at the hotel around 5.30pm.

Montenegro was absolutely beautiful! The driver gave a history of the country during our drive, and the boat trip between the two towns was breathtaking. We had plenty of time to explore each town on our own. Would highly recommend!

This was an excellent day trip that I would gladly recommend. There were long hours on the bus but the countryside afforded some lovely views. Our driver and Croatian guide were kind, thoughtful, and organized. Our Montenegrin guide was a great storyteller and compelling to listen to. Both Perast and Kotor were excellent cities to visit: each beautiful and intriguing in their own ways. We also lucked out with both our border crossings, they were quick and easy. The only thing I would have wished for is a little more free time to explore both cities.

This tour was amazing. I like the fact that we got to experience Montenegro from a boat and bus. It was very unique. The best part of the tour was the tour guide Petra she was excellent. Petra was very informative and knowledgeable.

Not a bad trip. Good amounts of times for both locations we visited. I highly recommend going early or late in season (before May or around mid september and later) as I went in Mid September and there was no line at the boarder crossing. If you do go in the peak seasons, you will wait for a long time. The tour guide isn't really a guide but really a woman who explains the history of Croatia and Montenegro to you on the bus on the way there and some facts on the way back. She's nice, but not the best tour guide I ever had. She also does not go with you as a group to the locations. I wish she could have told must more detailed information about the history of both countries. It is very basic information she gives you. It will be warm most likely, so dress accodingly. Bring snacks and water for the bus. The lady of the rocks is overrate. Kotor is amazing though. Bring hiking shoes if you want to climb the wall. It is very high. I am very athletic and it took me 45 minutes to go straight up, and 20 to go down. If you go at the right time, it is an easy way to explore a new country for a day from Dubrovnik and this was a good option to get there for the money. Wish we could stay longer, but I also understand that the boarder crossing will take up a lot of time normally. If you want to "see it all", better off getting a Cruise or hotel in Kotor or another city there. This just gives you a taste of the country, which is all I wanted.

A unique place. An enormous bay with 2 magic little islands.
The driver...great, always with the sense of humour. And the guide Tjana...the perfect guide.
The agency solved a misunderstanding with celebrity and success.
All of them did of this, an unforgettable holiday trip.

Stunning scenery. 6 seater van with air con was so much better than a coach. Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable.
