Know More about this tour

Your Monterrey city tour starts with hotel pickup by your guide, who will show you the citys top landmarks and introduce you to its history and culture.

Head first to Barrio Antiguo, the old town, where colonial architecture mixes with many restaurants, shops and bars. Visit the State Museum of Popular Cultures located in Casa del Campesino, once the palace of the governor and the oldest civil building in the city. Tour the museum with your guide to see its exhibitions about different cultures in Mexico and around the world.

Next, head a few blocks west to Macroplaza, Monterreys main landmark and heart of the city. Its also one of the largest plazas in the world, with a length of six blocks. Admire its attractions like the bronze Fountain of Neptune, 17th-century Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana), City Hall and the neoclassical Government Palace (Palacio de Gobierno).

Then follow your guide just west of Macroplaza to the Morelos shopping and dining district, a pedestrian street where you have about 1.5 hours to walk around and shop if you wish. Then meet back up with your guide for lunch at La Divina, a cozy local restaurant that serves tacos, steaks, pastas and more (lunch at own expense; restaurant is subject to change).

Finally, visit your last attraction, Mirador del Obispado, a viewpoint at the top of Cerro del Obispado, the hill crowned by the 18th-century Bishopric Palace (Palacio del Obispado). Take a stroll on the wide walking path as you admire views of the city.

Your city tour then ends with hotel drop-off.
