Danny was a great guide. The scope that he had with him really helped us to see everything… (we saw some other night tours without them). He spotted way more than we would have expected on such a rainy evening and was very knowledgeable.

BOOK THIS TOUR!!! Johnny was GREAT!!!!! He was able to spot a SLEEPING HUMMINGBIRD right away. Followed up by a viper, sleeping toucan, and truly amazing other animals, plants and insects. He knew every Latin name and fun facts about the animals, I felt that I was being taught by a National Geographic scientist. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. He kept us safe and did all the heavy lifting/animal searching while we walked. Thank you Johnny

Literally had an awesome time with Johnny. He is the best tour guide I’ve ever met 100%. You will definitely not go wrong with signing up for this tour. He is super knowledgeable about all of the types of wildlife and fauna in the forest. He has actual expertise in botany so he truly understands this stuff and gave me nonstop valuable information and explanations of my surroundings. Also he is super good at spotting different animals/insects. It was pitch black but he was able to find a large variety of wildlife. He personally helped me to take pics of a viper, tarantula, a rare red eyed frog, some sleeping toucans, and more. Another amazing thing I want to point out is that he does all this because he truly enjoys and loves nature (hence the name). I saw him get down on his knee to pick up random trash multiple times. True nature lover and a good in the world! Last thing to mention is that if you need suggestions/recommendations of tours or travel arrangements, he can do it too- and he does all this without trying to charge you an arm and a leg cuz he just wants you to have a good time. Thank you for the amazing time and tour Johnny I won’t forget you!

Johnny is a great and funny tourguide, we were able to spot a viper, frogs, a tarantula, plently of insects and a few mamals in trees. It was perfect. Thanks for having us!

Dani was an incredible tour guide! He has such a passion for the local wildlife and we managed to see so many interesting species, including a sloth, glass frogs, Olingo, yellow side striped viper and lots more! Dani was really attentive and very happy to answer any questions. I’d totally recommend this experience to anyone!

Johnny is the BEST! He had such good vibes, was so exciting and entertaining in our walk through the forest. We weren’t sure what to expect in terms of how much wildlife we would see and we were so happily surprised at the end. He had our party giggling the whole time while learning an incredible amount of information on flora & fauna. We left truly wishing Johnny was one of our buddies in life. He was that cool. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Our guide, Johnny, was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in Monteverde. The tour was worth every penny; I only wish I had time to go again. We saw tons of insects, snakes, birds, etc. I was able to check several birds off of my life list. Johnny made sure we all had the opportunity to get pictures of the species we encountered. He also made sure we got the best photos possible. He's an excellent guide. Top notch. You have to pick and choose what to do and see when visiting Costz Rica as you could spend weeks in one location and still not do everything you want to do. However, if you're like me and you're here to experience the incredible biodiversity of Monteverde, this tour must-do.

Great tour, very friendly guide who can find some near impossible to see animals with a great explanation

Johnny was an extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented guide. I was so thankful to be with him rather than any of the other guides that night. If we ever have the opportunity to return we will certainly be calling on him again.

Johnny was an incredible guide! Superb knowledge of the various species that roam around at night. Not to mention pleasant attitude and the eyes of a hawk! I saw a spider I never thought I would see in real life, much less in the wild thanks to him! Tour is just the right length and group size is ideal for questions and efficiency. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see the cloud forest come alive at night!
