Know More about this tour

After pickup at your hotel, board your boat for your 5.5-hour cruise and snorkel tour. Set off on the seas, passing Opunohu Bay and Cooks Bay on your way to Moorea Lagoon.
Stop in the shallow waters of the lagoon to see stingrays and blacktip reef sharks. Your guide hops into the water to show you how to interact with the stingrays, who are remarkably willing to let you touch them as they swim around. Join your guide in the water with the friendly stingrays or remain in the boat and watch the action from above.
Once you have visited with the stingrays, your boat continues to an uninhabited motu (a small island) where you have three hours to soak up the beauty of this tropical paradise. Snorkel and swim in calm clear waters or park yourself on the white sand beach with a good book. Its up to you how much or little you do.
While you are enjoying the beach, your crew prepares a delicious picnic lunch, served buffet-style at a shaded table. Have your choice of grilled fish and chicken, salads, and fresh island fruit, accompanied by juice, beer, rum punch, and cold water.
While still on the motu, your guide shows you how to open and husk a coconut. You may even try it yourselfit is harder than it looks! Then learn to make a classic Polynesian dish, poisson cru, a mixture of marinated fresh tuna, lime juice, diced vegetables, and coconut milk. Sample the tasty dish when it's ready for a taste of an island favorite.
After 5.5 hours, return to your starting point where your tour ends.

  • Excellent trip. The scenery is absolutely amazing. The waters are pristine and one cannot describe the colours. The swim with the rays and sharks was a good experience. The crew on the boat were very friendly and kept us entertained. The beach lunch was good with a good variety of food. I enjoyed the BBQ'ed marlin steaks the most.

  • Talk about amazing, put it on your bucket list, the tour was well organised, once we made contact at the dock it all fell into place. Short bus ride to the boat and educated along the way about there cultures, places of worship, landmarks. Boat ride 40min to where we swam with sharks, rays and other sea life. Our guide made us feel very comfortable, had us laughing most of the time. Lunch, they put on a local feed and they picked my wife out of the crowd to help prepare the fresh salmon. The video pictures we have takin will remain with us for ever. We will be back with the rest of the family. Well done to the tour company, to the guide hope to see you again.

  • We are rating this tour as Amazing even though rain and wind was the weather of the day. We've all had to learn to take the weather as is, haven't we? We were taken to an area of sharks that are fed by tour operators and are harmless. What a thrill to be in the same water with them. There were also rays which were very large. A beach area is where a bar-b-que lunch was served. The area is not fancy but there is a covered area where they cook the meat chicken and fish and served salads, etc. They provided refreshments while waiting for the lunch to be served. Locals also provided their music all the while we were there.

The owner of this particular business looked out for our comfort and helped in any way he could -- always aware. He was also the boat operator. We are sorry we didn't obtain his name. He had others helping also with the beach area. The only recommendation we would make is to have curtains on the sides of the boat for rainy windy days, like we had. The sun came out mid-afternoon!!

  • loved this trip even though it rained nearly all day the staff were amazing and to get into the water and touch stingrays. I will never forget this trip. thank you

  • Sorry for the delay in my response...My husband and I had an excellent time on our adventure with Moorea Lagoon Cruise!!!
The cruise itself was amazing, beautiful locations and the staff was great. We awesome swimming with the sting rays and sharks, incredible experience. Then to follow up with that awesome picnic lunch was the best, worth every penny. Should we ever have the opportunity to return to the island we would definitely seek out Moorea Lagoon Cruise for another adventure.

  • Great tour. Siki was a terrific tour guide - informative and entertaining. Make sure you get him as the guide.

Snorkeling with the rays and sharks was a fun time. Not intimidating at all. Water is waist-deep, so you don't really need to snorkel to enjoy it.

Lunch on the motu was very good.

  • Two similar boats of above description. First stop was lagoon in water wading height with lots of black tip sharks and large stingrays. Then a cruise to a motu island. Organized fun with Siki your host entertaining before lunch. Rum punch and beer provided. Bar-B-Q chicken and pork. Delicious salads. Rest rooms available. A local group of musicians performed. A very fun day and experience.

  • This was a very well planned tour with great staffing. The price was very reasonable. We were on a cruise ship and would not have taken a cruise ship tour. Viator was prompt, efficient, fun, great sightseeing, good food and drinks too! The time allocated was excellent as well. I was a bit hesitant about this one BUT all and all it did not fail in any way and exceeded our expectations!
I did not hear a negative word from any of the other passengers either. We had fish and salads and grilled chicken and beer and spiked very little spike to it but good bread, salad and a very entertaining crew who were also polite and very watchful of time and making sure everyone had a wonderful time. Try it this is fantastic, so excellent pick for Moorea!

  • The BEST tour ever, mainly thanks to aour tour guide, Siki, who went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. We had such a wonderful time !!! Thank you, Siki and also your lovely team for an unforgrettable day !

  • We enjoyed our experience very much. Our guide was interesting, helpful, creative and delightful. The picnic was very good but a little too long for our tastes.
