We had driver Adi for our hiking/rafting tour, he was super patient and friendly, hiking guide was very helpful too always offering to take us photos. Our driver was very flexible with the itinerary and offered to take us to extra locations, recommended local place to eat we otherwise would never have gone to. We felt like we were traveling with another friend. The hiking to mount batur was very physically demanding, there are motorbikes that offer to drive you up for additional $250,000 IDR. However we went on a foggy day there wasn’t any view from the top but that’s life, and if you choose water rafting it will take another 3 hours, just be mindful that it will be a long day. We stoped at a coffee plantation, which was a nice break but it felt like a tourist trap to make you spend money on their products, which was not very good quality. Overall I recommend the trip!

Taxi driver (Eka) was great, very nice and explained what we were driving past along the way, as well as keeping us updated on how far to go and what to expect. The tour guide was very helpful and friendly. He made sure that we were doing okay the entire way up and down. The places we stopped for short breaks were perfect. The tour guide took some great photos too, and explained about the things we were passing on the trek. Overall, great experience.

Mount Batur was the #1 excursion on my list when coming to Bali and I can honestly say this did not disappoint! The trek itself was a bit of a climb so definitely come ready to explore, but the view at the top made every huff & puff worth it. It was truly a magical experience getting to watch the sunrise with my bestie at the top of an iconic and ACTIVE volcano. You could even stand in the stream of steam around the crater. It was truly an unforgettable experience. BUT even more unforgettable were all the wonderful guides that helped make this experience come to life. Special shoutout to Adi and his cousin for trekking out to Canggu at 1 AM to pick us up and safely get us up to Mount Batur, driving for hours and giving us a chance to catch up on some much needed sleep. They were kind enough to get us waters on the way up and offer breaks for the restroom and snacks on the way down as well! They were so incredible hospitable and shared fresh fruits with us from their own mango and guava trees. I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to share the experience with them. Thank you Adi!! Another special shoutout to Marty, our guide that took us up the mountain. He was such a pleasure to hike with and was clearly very experienced with the trails— he noted in the summer months he sometimes treks up & down twice a day! He was in tune with our needs the entire time asking frequently if we needed breaks, which we did, and waiting patiently & offering drinks and snacks to refuel. He also took a ton of amazing photos of us! Thank you Marty!! We truly had such an unforgettable experience and I cannot recommend this excursion enough. If you’re even considering it, just book it, you won’t regret it!!

This was a great experience. Driver was on time and drove us there and back really quick. Our guide Manut was really good and supportive. He helped us take photos and had a good attitude the whole journey. It was a bit challenging, but not to hard. We were lucky and saw the sunrise! Then it was a beautiful trip down in the sun. I really recommend this hike, it was a memory for life.

Pickup was punctual and the drive back and forth was very comfortable and smooth. Thanks Adi!! The hike up was pretty challenging and we almost gave up 15 mins in when one of us had shortness of breath. But the guide was extremely motivating and reassuring. We took multiple breaks and made it to the top.

The hike was at times slippery and challenging, but overall a fun and memorable hike. Even though it was cloudy for the sunrise it was still worth it. Guide was friendly and very helpful. The driver Abi picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and was great.

Great service and a wonderful guide but please be aware that in the wet season, with cloud cover, you may not be able to see the sunrise or the view from the top of the volcano. Also, I don't remember reading anywhere that you need to take a jacket, as it gets quite cold. Also, minimum footwear would be runners.

Eka was a knowledgeable and patient guide. We learnt so much about Balinese culture / history and enjoyed ourselves. :)
