EXCELLENT! We booked this via our hotel reception. The coach picked us up and dropped us off just around the corner from the hotel (Guanahani in Costa Adeje). We always think the stops at other hotels are time consuming but it was quite interesting as it felt like another view of the various resorts on the island. The meal at the Bodega Reveron was lovely and as this was an hours stop the owners were quick to guide us inside and seat us. The meal consisted of nibbles, soup, main course (they were geared up for vegetarians as well), dessert, wine (their own as they have a vineyard and you can buy some in their shop as well) and water. So, back to the coach and on to the stopping place at Mount Teide. The guide was excellent and communicated in English, Spanish (and Catalan as well I thought). He detailed explanations of the star systems (complete with shooting stars every now and then) with his laser was excellent and extremely informative. Sadly as there was a half moon the Milky Way could not be seen but the detail on the moon itself was fascinating - we took out binoculars so we could see even more and the star gazing was just out of this world. We were at the viewing for about 45 minutes and it was very cool 8 degrees which we were warned about when we booked so do dress warmly. The next time we visit we will book a daytime trip to Mount Teide as we would like to see the daytime landscape. An experience not to be missed.

Good organisation from start to finish. Dinner was really nice and we had some lovely people on our table. It was a slightly cloudy sky but our astronomer guide was able to point out lots of constellations and planets and gave us lots of information. A delightful evening.

If you fancy an amazing experience, book this excursion! The journey is long, but extremely interesting; out guide was multi-linguistic, and kept everyone entertained. On arrival at the restaurant, we were grouped by language and party size, and shown our seats. The food was delicious, and cooked to perfection; 3 courses with free flowing, white, red and rose wine! From there, it was a 30 minute journey to the viewing area, where our guide spoke fluently, about the stars, planets, moons, and constellations! It was an amazing experience, even seeing around 6 shooting stars; perfect if your relationship is romantic. I, 100% recommend this excursion; it’s a wonderful experience.

We booked the tour in english, but the tour guide talked in english and spanish, which cut the actual information that was given in half. The tour guide knew what he was talking about, but if questions were asked in spanish he only answered in spanish and did not translate. Furthermore people were chatting a lot which made jt even harder to understand (the tour guide did not tell them to keep it down). The food was great!

Maravilloso el cielo estrellado, buena cena y buena explicación del guia. En cambio, tuvimos que esperar a un grupo más de 15 minutos, y no nos dieron tiempo a nosotros,a recoger un objeto olvidado

This is by far the worst experience I’ve had in any trip. Was on a bus from 7 till 1:45 am, collecting and dropping people off, most of the trip was spent here. The food provided was pre clocked and not at all enjoyable, everyone on the trip was so disappointed. Only enjoyable thing I can think off was the wine and the group of people we got talking to on the bus & restaurant. We stopped for less than an hour in total in between restaurant & seeing the starts and by the time we reach teide we were way too fed up to even listen to the poor guide. We just couldn’t bare with it anymore and were completely uninterested by that point. Let’s not forget we parked in the middle of a high road with cars and lights distracting everyone from hearing or evening seeing anything due to the car lights. We also got out on a full moon so no starts were visible, to which the guay kept telling us to use our imagination..? AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Everything felt rushed, we were even rushed out of the toilet which was the only loo stop we made out in the restaurant during the whole trip hence the whole bus was queuing. Goes without saying but if you are considering this do not bring children & older adults, they will really have a hard time. It was also not stated that we would’ve had to drive from our complex back & forth, aside from stoping in almost every single hotel. Very misleading as may people had to get taxis and etc when dropped off in the middle of nowhere without knowing the island or the language. Will be chasing for a full refund as it was simply inappropriate and extortionate of their tourism. This “excursion” should not be a thing at all.

After a long and bumpy journey up the top of Mount Teide, we were expected to alight from the coach in the national park. Side note – this entire experience on the mountain is conducted in a lay by with parked cars. Terrain was bumpy, stairs on the coach were dark as it was nighttime, no handrails. I caught my foot between the steps, fell and broke my leg in four places as well as fractured my ankle and severely sprained my right, leaving me completely non weight bearing. The tour guide was not appropriately trained to deliver first aid, nor was the coach driver. There was no first aid equipment. This tour goes to the top of a mountain where the nearest ambulance takes an hour to get to. Completely dangerous. The bus driver has refused to give his details, the coach company has refused to respond to emails and telephone calls, Viajes Teide itself has gaslit me by telling me that my accident happened in a completely different way. It was a traumatic and excruciating experience on its own that was exacerbated by the tour company’s callous response during and after the incident. They still refuse to give any insurance details. Never go on this tour.

The food was only 1 option, but was good. The stars were good and the guide was very knowledgeable and funny. But was just up a mountain, you wouldn't know it was a volcano, misled a little
