Great day out at Mount Vernon - pick up on time. Robert our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The, estate was great to see - a lot of history! Not all of the attractions were open as now out of season but overall a great day out. Drive back via Alexandria and saw some sights of DC. Would recommend this tour

Great day tour to Mount Vernon (interior first two floors and exterior grounds). Unfortunately, Washington's Tomb was being renovated, but the forest area is beautiful. Slave Memorial designed by students from Howard University was both inspirational and sad.

The driver/tour guide was excellent but the vehicle was horrible my friend had to sit in a seat with a broken back and the van was full. The schock absorbers we’re non existent. This vehicle should be never used again.

  • 04-Oct-2022

Mount Vernon was good with good guides. The guide on the bus back and forth was really uninspiring and talked way to much about irrelevant topics. The bus itself was not up to standards either.

  • 01-Oct-2022

The driver did not mention that the grounds are unavailable after 5 pm. We had half an hour left of the tour with nothing to do.

Seeing The mansion owned by George Washington and visiting his grave site. Would recommend trip to everyone

The Size of the “plantation” and the beauty. The dignity of the mansion and the graciousness of Washington towards his guests. However the amount of enslaved people used to maintain the estate was disturbing but in the context of its time, though unhuman, lets hope his civility was passed on to them. Complicated issue for sure.

Driver was great! Bus was horrible. Trip overall worth it. Mt Vernon was a definite must see if going to DC

  • 12-Aug-2022

The grounds and the tour guides were excellent. It was a beautiful walk through the well maintained paths.

Robert very friendly and knowledgeable. Great driver too. He answered all the questions. And thorough in explaining what to expect. Loved that he told us our mansion time was not set in stone so to speak.
