Know More about this tour

Youll be picked up from your Mpumalanga hotel in the morning for an all-day tour of the province's most beautiful natural attractions. This South African province means the place where the sun rises in the local language -- a name as poetic as the scenery.

Traveling by coach, spend eight hours discovering the beauty of this less-developed South African province. Your guide will take you along the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, one of the most scenic routes in the region and the third-largest canyon of its kind in the world.

Visit the Bourkes Luck Potholes, a set of natural rock formations featuring countless swirling pools of water caused by the Treur River plunging into the Blyde River. As you'll learn from your guide, these potholes were named after a gold digger, Tom Burke, who staked a claim nearby.

Next, make your way along the Drakensberg escarpment to Gods Window. Youll immediately understand where this attraction gets its name as you stand on the lookout point, soaking up breathtaking panoramic views of the canyons, rock formations and lush forest-clad ravine filled with waterfalls. This majestic cliff plunges more than 2290 feet (700 meters) to the Lowveld!

Around midday youll make a stop for lunch (own expense) at Graskop or Pilgrims Rest, a small town and provincial heritage site. Your tour continues with visits to two amazing waterfalls, Lisbon Falls and Berlin Falls, and finally a visit to the Three Rondavels, three round mountains with slightly pointed tops. Pause at the lookout point here to learn about the significance of this iconic sight and to savor the incredible views. Afterwards, hop back in the coach and relax on the drive back to your hotel.
