Know More about this tour

After pickup from your hotel or the Naples train station, take a 30-minute drive to Pompeii, an ancient Roman city that was entirely destroyed by the sudden eruption of Mt vesuvius in 79 AD. The largest archaeological site in Europe, today Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
When you arrive, your guide will pick up your groups pre-ordered tickets and lead you on a 2-hour walking tour of the fascinating grounds. Witness the destruction first-hand as you visit Pompeiis most famous sites, including the Forum, the Thermal Baths, Vetti's House and the Lupanare brothel, giving you a glimpse into daily life during the Pax Romana. Today you can see shapes of objects even bodies that were buried beneath the volcanic ash and pumice.
After your tour, enjoy a pizza lunch with your group followed by some free time to browse the shops. Then board the coach and drive 40 minutes to legendary Mt vesuvius.
Embark on a moderate hike up the volcano with your guide. When you reach the summit at 3,900 feet (1,200 meters), youll be rewarded with panoramic views of the picturesque Bay of Naples from east to west. Peer down into the crater and see plumes of steam issuing from the sleeping, but still active, volcano!
There is a rest point where you can choose to wait for your group if you do not wish to climb all the way to the top, but the hike is worth the effort.
After your Mt vesuvius hike, relax on the drive back to Naples in the early evening.

Visiting these were top if our list to do in when visiting Naples.
Checking on line, this trip was as by far the best for the price and with great reviews. The trip exceeded our expectations. From the communication about our pickup from hotel to when we were dropped back at the end of the day, it was all very professional, informative and fun.
The knowledge of our guide in Pompeii really helped us imagine the ancient city in all its prior grandeur. Lunch was a tasty and fresh local pizza after which we headed to Vesuvius. The climb from the carpark certainly worked off lunch and once at the top the views are absolutely amazing.
    Would highly recommend this trip.

Excellent tour of both attractions. Given plenty of time at both places and had a knowledgeable guide.

It was a very wet day and when we were picked up we were warned that the Vesuvius trip might not happen due to this. Therefore we weren't surprised when that happened. We were told to email to get that part refunded. The Pompei part was very good. Our guide had good knowledge of the site and the history surrounding it and was able to conjure up what we would have seen in the days before the eruption.

They made this tour so easy and stress free. From being picked up near your hotel to dedicated vans and buses- you didn't need to worry about anything. I had no idea that Pompeii was so huge- don't expect to see the whole thing. Mt Vesuvius had great views - but be warned that the climb is challenging!

My partner and I were picked up from our hotel 2 days ago on time. Our driver was Marco and we were greeted by the delightfully cheery Francesca. Unfortunately, the weather was awful - long periods of rain. That didn't stop the tour nor everyone have an insighgtful and fun time. The ear pieces given out into which the commentary can be heard as we walked the famous site of Pompei was great. It enabled us to take it all in at our own pace. Francesca's commentary was wonderful and funny. Unfortunately, the Mount Vesuivius tour didn't happen owing to the weather so instead, we were given the opporutnity to tour Sorrento with our guide Alex. A great substitiute trip. All in all, I'd wholly recommmend the tour. Have fun!

Very convenient pick up from historic Naples. The trip to the top of Mt Vesuvius was spectacular. We could have used a little extra time since we had to rush to get back to the bus. Lunch was a bit chaotic since the restaurant was incredibly loud and busy but the food was good even though everyone was rushed. The Pompeii site is fabulous. Our guide was good in general . She seemed knowledgeable but I think a bit cutesy in her comments. Too much time spent on the boudoir life of the romans and not enough about the historic facts. But in general a memorable trip.

The guides were wonderful, the only thing i didn't like was lunch! For the price we paid, the drinks could be better and so could the food.

Just amazing tour. Ton of great information, our tour guide was an archaeologist. The underground is not to be missed.

Although we did not know what to expect, overall this experience was amazing. When we arrive at the port, I was unsure of where to go and had a group of 14. Almost immediately exiting the Customs gate, the representative from Project Napoli Service asked if my name was on their display board. Thank you so much for looking out for the lost tourist!!
I gave it a "Very Good" and not an "Excellent" rating because the guide, Antonio, moved at a high pace not allowing for slow walkers or the number of groups that were at the ruins that walked through our group or was talking louder than he was. I believe it would have been much better to have a smaller group, find open areas to give the information associated with the various points of interest and head pieces that would be conducive to hear in a congested area.
Lori was simply amazing as she moved us to where we needed to be displaying high energy and patience for English speakers. The lunch was very tasty with a few options were available. 1 drink was included with the meal with the option to pay for additional choices.
At every meeting point clear instructions were given and the organization to move everyone was phenomenal.
Mt. Vesuvius was definitely the highlight of this excursion. We were given 1 1/2 hours (I believe) to complete the estimate 1/2 hour climb. I was just short of magnificent. The view from the top and the sense of achievement was amazing. I don't believe anyone in our group felt rushed at any point, but I do have to warn anyone - if you don't like thin, curvy roads in a bus - take a nap of close your eyes!

The tour was fine. They picked us up right outside the cruise pier (people who were at train stations and hotels got picked up as well) but a majority of the people on the tour came from cruises.

We got to Pompeii first and had a group of about 40 the guides were terrible and disorganized. They kept on having issues with accommodating us on the busses and making sure we all fit. I had to get off my bus and go with another group that I wasn't familiar with, to make sure another family could sit together because they didn't count the correct amount of seats. At Pompeii the guide was terrible. He didn't answer any questions and he moved fast, we didn't get to see as much compared if we would just have done the walking tour on our own. He was very informative but because he spoke fast and had an accent, you really couldn't learn much.

Vesuvius was great. The hike is not for the weak hearted. I'm 27 and in okay shape and it took me about an hour to make it to the top because I had to keep stopping to catch my breath. It gets more steep and no rest spots the higher up you go.

in between leaving Pompeii and going to Vesuvius you go to lunch for an hour and it was great. They said we would only be getting pizza, which is a HUGE piece, but they gave us the option of having the pasta/lasagna too. so I made a friend while doing the tours and I got the pizza and she got the pasta and we split it cuz it was so much food. They also gave us free wine and soda or water.
