Know More about this tour

Munich Bike Tour (3 hours):
Meet your guide near Munich Central Station, put on your helmet, and then pedal through the streets, exploring the city just as the locals do. Your guide will stop frequently during the tour to share stories and trivia about landmarks and sights, plus youll have plenty of chances to take photos and chat with other people in your group.

Cycling at a leisurely pace, follow your guide through the neighborhood known as Royal Munich, and wind your way past sights such as the Neo-Classical plaza of Knigsplatz and the equally imposing Odeonsplatz. Hear how both squares were created during the reign of King Ludwig I, an extravagant ruler who sought to put Munich on the map for its European grandeur.

Continue through the immaculate royal gardens into one of Europes largest city parks: the magnificent English garden. Stop for photos by the Chinese Tower and enjoy a drink at the landmarks beer garden. Then, pedal along the banks of the River Isar into Munich Old Town to explore the medieval streets around Marienplatz.

After three hours exploring the city, work your way back to your starting point to finish the bike tour. Enjoy roughly 4.5 hours of free time before your evening tour takes place.

Bavarian Beer and Food Evening (3.5 hours):
Meet your guide and fellow revelers for a beer at Munich Central Station. After getting the lowdown on Munichs beer culture and breweries, travel by public transport to the citys Beer and Oktoberfest Museum, a site housed in Munichs oldest residential building.

Head inside for a tour andyes, of coursemore beer samples. Walk around with your guide to see exhibits that showcase the surprising role of Bavarian beer in the countrys history, and learn about Munichs big-name breweries that export beer around the world. Hear how Oktoberfest evolved from a royal wedding celebration to one of the worlds premier beer and folk festivals, and check out antique beer jugs and drinking memorabilia aplenty.

Leave the museum and continue to one of Munichs traditional beer gardens for another drink and a platter of local snacks. The exact dishes differ on each tour, but tasty specialties such as bratwurst sausage and chewy salted pretzels are typical staples. Afterward, continue by public transport to your final stop at Munichs famous beer hall, Hofbruhaus. Here, steins of frothy beers are served by dirndl-clad barmaids and the resident 'oompah' band cranks out live festive tunes. Enjoy your final beer of the tour (own expense), soak up the atmosphere and bid your guide a fond farewell.

Both tours were very well worth it, glad I did the packaged deal. The city bike tour covered a lot of ground and a wide variety of sights, very little overlap with the two walking tours I also did. Mat was a terrific tour guide, he was both knowledgeable and funny, and was very down to earth. The beer/food tour was a blast and our tour guide Steve-o was phenomenal. He was funny and energetic and the life of the party, he made the tour 10x better. Everyone on the tour had so much fun learning the history and simply having a good time, it was a magical night getting to know the other people in the group from around the world.

Stevo was a great guide he was funny and was able to give us some great history! This was awesome!!!

I would give the bike component a 4, dinged a point for lack of helmets. The route, inclusions, guide, pace and bikes were just fine, the only exception being stretches that take you alongside street cars. I would stop the tour until the streetcar passes. This is not a combo for the same participants. A new crowd shows up for the evening tour. I would have preferred more small samples of beer rather than 12 or 16 or 24 ounce beers at a stop. The food was a mediocre plate of meat and cheese with no explanation and pretzels. In covid times, it is hard to hear the guide in a group of 18, especially inside with masks, and with particularly heavily accented English.

    1. These are two separate tours so the morning people will not be the same evening people. 2. The bike tour component was excellent. If you value wearing a helmet, being it. They were not offered. 3. The beer evening was ok. We had small samples at the beer museum, but a bottle to start the tour and tall or gigantic glasses, self paid, at the two beer houses. The food and pretzels nothing "to write home about." The break at the beer garden in the English Garden on the bike tour was a lot nicer.

We took the bike and beer tours and enjoyed both. Stevo and Dan we're both very knowledgeable and great tour guides. Highly recommend.

We underestimated the train time to get to the meeting point for the bike tour, but we made sure to be on time for the Bavarian Beer and Food evening. Erwin from Belgium was our guide, and he proved knowledgeable and friendly. The group was kept small, so we made some new friends and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the importance and history of beer in Bavaria and sampling local flavors of foods. The Oktoberfest Museum was really fascinating, but looks tricky without a guide.

We absolutely loved biking around the city and listening to cool facts about Munich. The evening food and beer tour was really abundant. We got to eat and drink a lot, so who can complain. Definitely worth it.

We signed up for and paid for a 6.5 hour bike tour with stops along the way at pubs and a evening meal. We only went on a 3 hour tour with 1 stop. This was not what we paid for and was half the time with only 1 stop. What can we do for a refund as we were not on and offered the tour that we paid for?
