Know More about this tour

Board a comfortable motorboat departing from the Alilaguna pier in front of the Royal Gardens, and speed along the Venetian Lagoon to three islands famous for their handicrafts and architecture.

You will cruise past the islands of San Giorgio Maggiore, San servolo, San Lazzaro degli Armeni, and SantElena Gardens to Murano, divided into nine islets crossed by a wide canal. Known for its glassware shops and factories, Murano boasts a long and still-thriving tradition dating back to 1291, when glass artisans moved their kilns from the old city center.

Explore the island on foot and stop at a glass factory to watch a skilled glassblower create works of art. Learn from your guide about Murano's wealth in the 15th and 16th centuries when the island was central to Europe's glass making.

View the magnificent splendor of Murano's palaces and Veneto-Byzantine style churches, some with mosaics and ornamental motifs designed in the 12th century, and catch a glimpse of San Michele Venices 19th-century cemetery across the water.

Before re-boarding the boat, you'll have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass.

When you reach the island of Torcello established between the 5th and 6th centuries and the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian Lagoon you will see evidence of the islands glorious past as it once flourished with ornate palaces and churches.

First, view the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century. Your guide will also show you the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the Church of Santa Fosca, which showcases a delightful portico and striking Byzantine interior.

Afterward, journey to the island of Burano and admire the picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors. In this miniature Venice, you will find the famous lace abundant since the 16th century and once considered the most refined in Europe.

Browse local shops and find lace on display at a museum dedicated to the craft of lace making before your guide returns you to Venice.

The glass blowing in Murano is a great example of the craftsmanship needed to produce such beauty. Burano is a beautiful little town with lots of small shops of local items.

Had a lovely day exploring the 3 islands. Would do it again but probably the 6 hour trip and have a bit more time on the islands

Not a bad experience. It's not really a tour, more of scheduled transport to the three islands. However, Torcello can be cut to give more time to Murano and Burano. 50 minutes at each stop is just enough to wait your whistle.

It’s great to see a little more of the Venetian Islands. Burano is superb and the old church in Torcello

  • 13-Nov-2022

I was greatly impressed with the tour guide who was seamlessly able to alternate between three languages for the group. The tour itself was beautiful and a wonderful means of exploring outside the main business of the city of Venice. My only gripe would have been that the tour would have allowed for more than 50 minutes at each stop.

The venues were spectacular with a region of the world seen by a few. Would 10 of 10 recommend this tour for those who want to see a lot over a short period of time

  • 12-Nov-2022

It’s good transportation if you don’t have time to make line for the vaporetto. They give you 1 hour in each island and is not enough. Anyway, is a good option.

Plenty of room in the boat. The staff was very friendly. A little more time at the last island would have been time well spent. A good value for the money. We will be back. I do recommend taking this tour earlier in the day.

The food was really good we took the recommendations from the guide and went to the restaurant where Hemingway ate and tried the gelato that was delicious.
