I really enjoyed this tour. The staff were friendly, the tour was just the right length for an afternoon activity, and it all ran very smoothly. That said, it is definitely an inferior experience to some of the Safari options further afield - mainly because there aren't all that many animals, so if you have time, I'd get out of Nairobi and do a safari elsewhere.

We were picked up early from our hotel in Nairobi by Julius who was very friendly and helpful throughout. As we had time to kill he took us for some coffee and shopping at the Golden Eagle Cafe which had excellent coffee and nice souvenirs. Onto the elephants at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Julius helped us getting a good view as well as suggesting a last minute change to our itinerary to go to the giraffe sanctuary as well, which we paid for separately. The baby elephants are incredible and the work of the wildlife trust is amazing in rescuing and caring for them. Next stop was the giraffe sanctuary which was very busy as this was a Sunday afternoon in the build up to Christmas. Once again, Julius was very helpful and showed us around as well as taking some photographs for us. Afterwards we were taken to Carnivores restaurant for lunch which is a bit of a Nairobi institution and was very nice. After lunch, Julius handed us over to our game driver for the afternoon, Mondio (sorry for the spelling) and we transferred from the Nissan that we had travelled around in to a very capable 4x4 Toyota Hiace with a pop up roof that provides shade, but lets you stick your head out of the roof for viewing game. He was an excellent driver, with a great eye and very knowledgable and friendly. Also a photographer which was great for us. On entering the Nairobi National Park, we paid our entry separately (it is card only as the tour company had said) and then the most amazing drive started. What you see is down to luck as these are wild animals, but a good driver/guide helps enormously and we were incredibly fortunate for our afternoon drive. As well as amazing bird life, we saw giraffes, zebra, lions, white rhino, black rhino, baboons, hartebeest, impala, gazelle and tortoises. Finally we were dropped off at our hotel around 7pm feeling very fortunate. I cannot believe what a great day this was.

I travelled to Nairobi to visit my son for a few days after an India business trip during his semester abroad. We wanted to do a park visit but couldn’t plan too far in advance. About 1.5h before the tour started , I sent an email via the website and within 20m I had a response and plan for hotel pick up (thanks Claudia). John our driver picked us up within the promised time and we went to the park. John was funny and knowledgeable and we had a great time. Our safari mates made it extra enjoyable as well. John dropped 4 of us off at Carnivore and waited for us to have dinner - then dropped us off at different locations Nice Service !

We saw many wild animals in the park which is so very close to the city. Amazing time and our guide was fantastic. Very memorable and positive experience. A wildlife paradise right near Nairobi.

It was good visit with a very good guide with very very old vehicle. Unfortunately, there was no vehicle selection while buying. I could have pay more if there was vehicle selection. 3.5 Star.

We were so lucky to have a fantastic Safari . Picked up on time from our apartment and driven directly to the park . Within minutes we were spotting many animals and lucky enough to see , buffaloes, lions , gazelles , impalas , zebras, giraffes and many more including the rare rhino . Many of these we saw at very close range . Thanks to this very well organised company . We recommend you to any visitors to Nairobi. Zena Phillips UK

We visited the national park during a Business trip to Nairobi. We wanted something close to the city centre, and this was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guide was prompt picking us up from our hotel, and took us straight onto the park. We were very lucky to see lots of animals and even a lion right next to our tour bus. Many thanks for a great safari!

We've been on the NNP Safari, with daughters aged 5 and 6, and some friends. It was great. Definitely recommend it. We took the triple-package: Safari + Elephant center + Giraffe center. Definitely take all three. Some short info: - An 8 hour trip (6am-2pm) was suitable for kids and also enough for us. - Our youngest has a very sensitive stomach so i warned the driver. It was a wild drive but alas, no sickenss (without pills). Hard to do a safari without a crazy road. - Animals are more active in the morning, so I would recommend the early-morning choice. We saw most stuff in the first 2 hours of the visit. - We saw more animals than I expected. I don’t want to boast with a list in case you have a lesser luck, but even the adults (us & 2 friends) were very excited. - We brought warm clothes, water, some food, and also binoculars (kids’, quite light). As many animals are far away in the savanna or in the lake… binoculars were a good move. - I heard dry season safaris are perhaps a bit better than wet season. - we had a great driver… he really made an effort to locate and trace the animals. - Personal opinion: this was so much better than any other thigs we did in Nairobi. At first I was in doubt whether we should take a multiple-day safari. Now I’m convinced… this was great & enough.
