Know More about this tour

You will be picked up from your accommodation at approximately 1pm. You will be transported in a modern air conditioned minibus.
Nearby Mission Estate is the first winery we visit to taste their extensive wine range but to also take time to enjoy the historic Seminary  building and its surrounding.
Church road winery is located almost next door. This estate is renown for great reds and some wonderful chardonnays.
The next winery, Linden Estate is located in the picturesque Esk Valley surrounded by orchards growing a wide range of fruits. This will be an outdoor seated tasting and a complimentary cheese board will be provided to be enjoyed during the tasting. Ross the owner/guide of the tour company planted and tended many of the vineyard blocks at this estate. He conducts most of the tours and will provide a brief talk about grape growing and vine management out in the vineyard.
The Tony Bish Urban winery is the last winery visited and it is located back in Ahururi. At the conclusion of this tasting a guided tour of the barrel hall and the amazing Golden Egg brings the tour to an end. You will be then returned to your accommodation around 5.30 pm.

We had a knowledgeable interesting tour guide who bought extra depth and experience to the tour by way of being a manager to various vineyards in the area.
From an Australian perspective it was exciting to sample the varieties and labels available in New Zealand that we do not have access to.
The tour bus picked us up at our hotel which made the tour very relaxing and we found it an excellent afternoon in the Napier wine region.

Was an awesome tour. Was surprised by the amount of wine you get to sample and Ross was a lovely tour guide.

Spent the afternoon tasting wines at several wineries inn the Napier area. Our guid was excellent, very knowledgeable and we finished our tour within and cheese looking over the beautiful landscape. A great way to spend the day

Ross had a great sense of humor and an equally impressive knowledge of wine. The wineries were as diverse as the wines - old, new, modern, classic, bold, easy going, etc. I thought the tour was timed nicely as well, not too much time at any one venue and not too much time spent traveling in the car. A must do in Napier.

thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was excellent. Only issues were the full bus tours by the big cruise lines at some of the big name wineries, Church Road, and Mission. Pretty crowded venues. Then we went to Urban winery, and tasted wines and cheeses in the outdoor setting in the vineyard. That was the best, but we were a smaller tour group, so that made it a very relaxing atmosphere, with great wines.,

This tour was E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T!!! Great driver! Great wineries, LOVELY picnic! Highly recommend!

This was one of the best wine tours I have been on. The four wineries we visited were all beautiful and offered many tastings per stop. Ross was also a great and informative guide. Would highly recommend

  • 21-Mar-2018

We were a small group and had a great time! The wineries were each different and very interesting. Of course the wines were really great and the cheese plate we shared at the end was considerate and yummy!! Of course my biggest problem was how to pack the bottles of wine I bought at each winery!!!

Mission and Linden were beautiful. The others also attractive.
Esk had the best service and selection.
Church was largely indifferent, few offerings, poor selection, unhelpful staff-should be dropped from the tour.
Overall, the wine was just ok.
