A really excellent experience. Kaplan and her son were delightful and nothing too much trouble. Made Momos and curries. An experience not to be missed!

I took a weekend class and I was lucky to be the only student at the time, so I had the privilege of having Kalpana teach me one-on-one. We started off by making tea and enjoying it while getting to know one another. Kalpana showed me how to make a traditional Nepali lunch meal, which consist of a dal bhat, a couple of vegetable dishes, a chicken dish, papadum, and steamed rice. We also made three kinds of momos. I’ve always made dumplings using frozen store-bought wrappers, but Kalpana showed me how to make the wrappers from scratch and she made it look so easy. I realized how much love and care went into each and every dish we prepared. Kalpana also showed me her home-grown onions and garlic, which we used in preparing the dishes. It was an extra-special treat to be brought to the hills of Kathmandu where Kalpana lives with her family, from the valley. I also met her daughter and husband who made me feel extra welcomed, and they were a lovely family. A truly special day well spent. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I had a wonderful day cooking with Kalpana and her family. It's a wonderfully calm location with a beautiful garden and lovely people. The food was delicious, have already cooked some of it upon returning home.

A beautiful experience. It was so great to drive through and out of the city to get to the family home. While there I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Kalpana and her daughter are beautiful souls and the family made me feel very welcome. Highly recommend this as an experience to anyone.

Excellent cooking class with really nice Nepali family. Everything went smoothly from booking the class, being picked up from the hotel in the centre of Kathmandu and being taken back again. A lovely quiet location overlooking Kathmandu with a marvellous garden. Thank you 🙏

An amazing experience spending the day with Kalpana and her beautiful family. Kalpana is so encouraging and gentle which adds to her ability to teach you her tips and tricks when cooking Nepali cuisine.

A wonderful experience starting with chai milk tea and then cooking Dahl bat and Momos with a friendly and welcoming family. We really enjoyed the morning, the food, the lovely hosts, and learning more about Nepalese food and culture. It wasn't exactly as described as there was no picking of farm produce (which might depend on the season - but we did get a tour of the garden) and no local wine included, but still a fantastic cooking class :)

Two of the nicest people you could meet. Setting is village Kathmandu with a kitchen garden. Genuine homestay. You cook in the family kitchen. Course was well organised and executed and the recipe pdf they gave me was true to the food I made so I can replicate on my own. Some way out of Thamel but the driver they sent was on time at 07h30 and the early morning traffic wasn't too bad. Finished at about 13h30 with time to see Pashupathinath and the Stupa. Pashupathinath
