Overview

Our SKIP THE LINE FOR TICKETS (not incl.) Castle Tour allows you to tailor your day (prices are 18,50 for adults and 4 for children) and can be bought from your guide so bring cash with you on the day.

You may either choose to take a relaxing and scenic bike ride through the Bavarian countryside OR tour the interior of Hohenschwangau Castle (22pp extra if tickets are available).

Our starting point, once there, is a brewery from where we start our leisurely bike ride on flat terrain with many photo ops. We return to the brewery for local fare & beer for lunch. We then hike or bus up to Mary's Bridge. From there we make sure you get to your castle tour on time with your skip the line tickets. Should you want to see both castles instead - no problem. We can arrange an entry time and tickets (once again, if available) for Hohenschwangau & you simply meet up with the rests of the group before the castle tour.

We all return to Munich arriving at our starting point at around 7.30 pm.

Know More about this tour

We start our tour in the heart of Munich - easy to reach by bus, train or taxi as it is located close to the Hofbrauhaus.
We pass through some parts of this scenic road on the way to the castle first thing in the morning with majestic view of the Alps and the Bavarian countryside.
Our bike ride part of the tour begins here after a short safety briefing. Along the way we will see spectacular views of the Bavarian & Austrian Alps and stop for some great "Insta - Photo's" and have the opportunity to swim in an Alpine Lake. We then make our way back, store the bikes and then have our pre-ordered lunch and locally brewed beer in a beer garden whilst enjoying the views of both the Hohenschwangau Castle and the Neuschwanstein castle. In case of rain, we get to sit inside the brewerey. Should you not want to do the bike ride then you will have gotten off at the Ticket office and rejoined the group after our lunch back at the Ticket office, four hours later.
We ride our bikes to this lake where we can also swim in summer so please bring swimming gear. This is optional and should you not choose to swim then one can take photos of both Hohenschwangau castle and Neuschwanstein castle or just enjoy the great outdoors.
We get to see the village of Hohenschwangau as we begin our hike up to the castle and Mary's bridge. Please bring good shoes for the hike up. If you choose not to hike, there is a bus that takes you up to Mary's bridge at an additional cost of 3,50 per person.
The regular tour gets to see this Castle from the outside but you can opt not to do the bike ride and instead tour this castle. Tickets can also be obtained from your guide on the day at an additional cost of 22 per person - only if available. Due to high demand this may not always be the case. No standing in line here either.
Discover one of Bavaria's most spectacular Castles with our experienced guides who are with you every step of the way. Take a bus to the top or enjoy a hike through a forest to get to Mary's Bridge for an unforgettable experience and photo opportunities galore. From here we make our way to the entrance of the castle to begin your guided tour, which can only be done with our "skip the line" tickets at a cost of 18,50 pp (this includes an online booking fee which is not shown on the actual ticket). Your guide will sort this out with you in person on the bus on the way to the castle which avoids all the hassles you will encounter when you do this on your own.
We see this serene lake whilst we hike to the castle.
Your guide will get you to the bridge on time so you do not miss your castle entry time. Please be aware that in high season it may happen that the line is too long to get onto the actual bridge which, should we wait would mean we miss our castle entry time. This will be your guides discretion and does not happen to often, in which case we take you to our " Secret Spot" for a photo of the bridge and the castle so you do not miss out altogether.

Wonderfull idea biking, hiking and such as great sight seeing , all in one , fun for a family or just a couple. Our tour guides, Taylor and Zoe, made even more fun. They were very attentive to everyone’s needs, friendly , doing their best to make this activity unforgettable for tourists .

We had a great day on this “not your average “ tour. Tyler, the guide was informative, friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. The opportunity to swim in the lake and an easy bike ride before the castle was a nice change. It is worth taking the castle tour, Lunch was great too- a great package.

This was a beautiful trip that took you not only to the castle, but the gorgeous Schwangau region. Honestly, that is quite a bit of what you see. Pristine lakes, gorgeous Alpine mountains. The trip was very well organized including an easy bike trip to a lake and swimming. Beautiful traditional German food that had been pre-ordered and was ready to go in a traditional German restaurant. Neuschwanstein was well organized and beautiful as well. Well organized, perfect blend of activities. Congenial group and informed, organized tour guide. Will be one of the highlights of our Bavarian trip.

Tour was great and tour guide Tyler went above and beyond to make sure we got all the photo ops possible! Changing reservation dates was also a breeze.

Tyler and Zoey were incredible hosts! They made sure constantly that everyone was comfortable, had incredible information every step of the way. Come for the castle, stay for the beautiful bike ride (make sure you ask Tyler to swim with you at the lake)!

Tyler and Zoe were phenomenal. Despite a such a large group, they lead a tour that was organized, informative, and relaxing. Definitely a great way to get out of the city and have a great time!

I'm really glad we went for this tour! It was such a wonderful experience riding a bike with the beautiful Alps for company. Tyler and Zoey, our guides for the day, make a great team. Knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour pick up location is easily accessible in the city centre. There was rain forecasted for the day, and the guides were kind enough to hand out ponchos which we luckily didn't need eventually. Journey to the bike pick up point near the castle is mesmerizing, so it's better to take a seat in the front in the bus. You get to choose your bike. The pick up point is next to a restaurant where we came back after the ride to delicious Bavarian and international cuisine. I had some concerns before booking, looking at Viator's reviews. But everything was well planned and we had a great time. Highly recommended if you're keen on some physical activity.
