My 9 year old son and I went during our layover. Our guide, Mujahid, was very friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. He made sure to capture lots of photos for us and was very considerate about ensuring we were having an enjoyable evening. My son’s favorite part was the camel riding and we both loved riding the truck in the dunes. Majahid is a great driver and even though it was a wild ride, I never felt unsafe. Highly recommend.

I took this tour as a solo traveler during my stopover in Doha and am very satisfied. Faraz was my guide/driver and contacted me the night before through whatsapp and also on the day before pick up time to confirm my booking and pickup time. He really knew all the ways through the desert at pitch dark night. Sun set at 18:30 (my tour started at 18:00) so it was all dark by the time we started going deep into the desert. Those bumpy sand dunes were a real rollercoaster route, but Faraz was an expert driver so it was all safe and sound (AND FUN!) He even helped out a random lost car with direction and another random car that got its tires stuck in the sand. Talk about expertise! Camel ride was a few minute stroll near the camel camp. As for sandboarding, although it was still hot and humid, tonight was too windy at my time of the tour to gain speed when going down. He was sorry about it, but it wasn’t his fault; just bad luck with weather since he said other people from yesterday had fast speed boarding down the dune. We tried too different sandboarding spots but sand was too soft. Nonetheless, was great to see the starfilled night sky at the desert with no light pollution and the offroad desert ride was extremely fun. Faraz also took great photos of me at all the stops throughout the journey. Many thanks to Faraz for making today’s tour the highlight of my trip!

I had similar safaris many times but I really enjoyed that one as it was well timed, the jeep was superb - (I don’t understand how they keep them so clean), the guide Mujahid got in touch with me by text few hours before the start to reconfirm the meeting spot, he was kind, caring and above all the excellent driver with whom I would cross any dessert. He also pointed us to many interesting spots on the way to the dunes that we would had missed if he wouldn’t told us about. The stop by the sea (this is the only country where the dessert meets the sea) was like from a dream. We even got to see the dessert fox running in front of us. Night is definitely the best time to do it during the summer. I highly recommend this tour.

Our trip to the desert with Faraz was definitely the best part of our stay in Doha. He was caring, funny and joyful. He made the experience so much fun, took amazing pictures of the whole group and made sure that we felt comfortable at all times. He provided water and offered tea towards the end of the trip. I wish all tour guides were just like Faraz :)

Driver khalifa was an amazing tour guide and provided us with an exceptional experience. He was very friendly, felt like he was one of our own. The dune bashing put us on a rollercoaster of emotions, fear and excitement. I really enjoyed this trip, even though it was dark, we still had the time of our lives. I recommend this for anyone who is new to Qatar.
