Guide was very accommodating to both the couple that missed the group at departure & different couple who got claustrophobic on dome climb & were delayed 1/2 hour getting to exit rendezvous point.

Apartment was very spacious and clean. Beautiful set up. Good location. Area wasn’t the best but the apartment made up for that

We visited St. Peter's Basilica in Italy. The customer service prior to the tour was very good and they answered all my questions in a timely manner. On the day of the tour, the sign in process was as communicated. The issue was our tour guide. She didn't seem interested in the tour and seemed to be going through the motions. She didn't check often to see if we could hear her through the headset and didn't check to see if the whole group was together. This led to confusion. During the tour, while we were waiting to enter, she took a phone call and was on it for quite some time so we didn't hear many facts about the outside. She left her microphone on while people were having conversations with her so the whole group heard the details and at other times, she would forget to turn the mic back on. People were handing back their headsets quite early in the tour due to the quality of it and some were contacting head office. Unfortunately, in the middle of the tour, there wasn't much anyone could do about it.

Guide wasn't engaging at all. We entered the basilica and she divided the group immediately by having people who want to walk up the stairs to the dome and people who wanted to wait for the lift. Result of that was it was difficult to find her again. Also turned a one hour tour in to two hours which was unnecessary. Would have been better to do the tour and then let people do the dome at their own pace/be optional. We couldn't find the guide again as the audio cut out. Had to leave the headsets at the cafe meeting point. Really disappointing in my opinion.

This was not very good. Our guide was mumbling in a disinterested monotone voice, during the entire tour. Most of the people on the tour left after we got inside. She seemed confused at times. The only reason we stayed was to get down stairs and even then there was nothing she had to say we could understand. This was not a language barrier, there was no passion or engagement in her voice. She was more engaged when she took a call for 6 minutes during the tour. I’m sure they have better guides. I heard others with more enthusiasm. Very disappointing. The breakfast could have been better organized as well.

Our tour never included the Basilica. Because our guide provided unclear instructions and failed to move through the dome portion efficiently, she ended the tour at 11 sharp and explained that there was no time to see the basilica. So despite the hefty price, we didn’t get what we paid for — not even close.

Our tour guide was great. She was knowledgeable and very accommodating. She gave us tips about touring and explained our questions.

    1) Breakfast = 1 croissant and coffee. No water or anything else. 2) St Peter's basilica is free. They still have you wait in the line to get in. No skip the line 3) At 9 am, they know the security does not allow headphone to be used. The tour guy asked us to check out basilica before checking out the dome. He basically just have us walking around on our own. 4) When we up the dome, the tour is basically over. They tell us nothing and does not go up with us. What a waste of money. I can do this own my own and just gotta buy the going up the dome tickets.

  • 01-Jul-2023

Meeting point instructions very much misleading and incorrect to the reality. Queuing lines for security are more than 1 hour (instructions 10-15 minutes). This organization is not professional.

  • 28-Jun-2023

No time to enjoy breakfast. It could have been timed before actual tour. The timing start is same as the walking tour start not the breakfast itself which could be great start to start the day.
