That was our first time to watch Aurora Borealis. Our tour guide IVY was super friendly, knowledgeable and looking after every detail to make sure we would have a pleasant trip. Unfortunately the weather at that night was not cooperating. The sky was covered with thick clouds and occasional drizzle. We thought we would not be able to see it but Winfred, the super helpful driver, did not hesitate to go the extra mile to try some more locations just not to disappoint us. Eventually we were able to see the northern light. Although they were not very brilliant ones, we were still happy & excited. We appreciate IVY & Winfred for their professionalism and extra effort which went beyond the regular tour hours!

We went with Wilfred and Ivy. We had a great experience! Both are very polite and accommodating. We went to two locations and were lucky enough to see the milky way and the aurora. They took beautiful pictures of us and the northern lights after starting a fire, roasting marshmallows and having hot chocolates. Highly recommend this tour and the guides (the handsome one and the cute one :p) Thank you both!!

What a great experience to see the Northern Lights. Willie was our guide and took us to out to watch Lady Aurora dance across the sky. He is very knowledgeable and took us to some great locations. Definitely one must go out and experience the Northern Lights if you are in Yellowknife. The van pick up was great. Got chocolate and snacks warmed us up. Thanks Willie for a great evening

I’d highly recommend this tour!!!!!! I really enjoyed myself and we did see the Aurora and I am sure tonight is going to be even better. Willy is a super funny, friendly , fun , knowledgeable guide. I like that he took time to explain a bit of science and other things about the Aurora but it wasn’t too much that it went in one ear and out the other. The locations we went were awesome. We drive 35-45mins outside town away from light pollution out to ice roads on lakes (ice roads were 100% percent safe and he was very safe) This was perfect because as a photographer doing long exposure shots it can be frustrating when having 30+ other tourist turning on flashlights, cars showing up, loud people. It really really felt like the real quiet magical Aurora experience.

Excellent service from driver and guide Chaplin who is very attractive and friendly. Too bad, it was cloudy and no show of the Aurora.

I went two nights in a row. The weather was frigid, and I was really well looked after by the driver during our 4 hours trip, and also by the office staff - who answered all my questions ahead of time. We had moderately good Aurora viewings the first night and were kept well informed and entertained by Wilfred our driver as we went Aurora hunting (the Aurora didn't appear unitl 11:30) ... the second night was beyond phenomenal. Wilfred was really helpful to both me and to my son, to ensure we understood how to use our cameras correctly to get pictures. I definitely recommend this company. One hint to visitors - you might want to buy those little disposable hand warmers that go in your mittens or boots ahead of time, it can be cold out there ... because once the Aurora starts, you just want to stay outside!! Thanks Again.

My husband and I did both the dog-sledding tour and Aurora Chasing tour. Both were excellent with our tour guides of Dan, Roy and Johnson. All were so accommodating and very informative and quite entertaining. We would definitely return to do these tours again and possibly add others. Thank you so much for accommodating us, Vrna, even though it was on the same day of the tour...this was so special for us and our trip to Yellowknife. God bless. Carl & Jo

I've been on Aurora tours in a few different countries around the world, and it is always tough to review them when you weren't able to see the Aurora, because of course the night is not as good as when you get to see it. However, I've compared this tour to others where i didn't get to see the Aurora and it was a little disappointing. Generally speaking when the lights aren't visible the guides will get you drawing pictures with torches etc to help keep your spirits up, unfortunately these guys didn't seem to have much of a plan of how to fill the evening. I was also tired from the late night the night before so my energy levels were down. Unfortunately the company doesn't offer to pick you up from B&Bs, only a couple of hotels, so you have to get your way there. Yellowknife isn't huge so it wasn't a major problem, but given the pricing compared to other providers who do you pick you up it was a little disappointing. I'm sure if we'd managed to see the Aurora (not the company's fault at all) then they may have got 4 stars, but i think given there are nights when it isn't visible they need a better plan to keep everyone engaged.
